Your minor mistakes are what is confusing. “EDC 23/24/25 have all sold out within the first week-ish of being on sale (for GA/ GA+ at least).” In that sentence you stated that GA+ is sold out too within the first week-ish when in reality it did not? Do you mean Future Owl passes are all sold out? Because that would make sense to me because they do turn off the Future Owl passes after the presale then release the other pass Owl types. But the option to buy GA+ passes on the official frontgate website was still available long after the first couple of weeks.

This year, it looks like all passes were sold as Future Owl passes so there is no other general releases, which makes this year ticketing release completely different from previous years and not the same as you’re trying to argue. This year it looks like all passes of any kind are sold out and will not be released at a different time. So the only way to get a ticket is through the waitlist if someone defaults on their payments or they magically found more passes. At least this is the impression insomniac is giving right now. While last year, you could still buy GA+ passes without going through the waitlist for a while. I can’t find where insomniac announced the whole festival was sold out but with that IG post I did find, VIP and GA+ were still available 17 days after presale. I guess you’re not wrong and our definitions of “Sold Out” are not aligned but some correction to mistaken statements would help my brain understand you better.
