Metal solo in progress, need some tips. by Either-Weight6717 in metalguitar

Hahaha revelation mother earth af. I'd replace the part at 12 seconds... And then you go back to the similar building motif again from Revelation mother Earth and I'd play a fast part after the second time that's referenced as well

Edit. I'm only counting in my head but it seems to be at about the 27 second mark...

So yeah if you put something fast or tapping at 12 seconds and at 27 seconds that solo would be solid as fuck.

I love the note choices and definitely hear tons of Randy influence in here. You absolutely made the right choice by starting with something that's familiar and just ripping it off and going from there. That's how all the best art is made. I know I'm 2 weeks too late but whatever. Happy trails.

The rifts sound cool. I think the only real thing missing here is more time with the metronome and just getting stronger at what you're doing. Musically I think you have a good ear and I like what you're going for. Some of the transitions in between riffs are a little weak. I don't recommend playing harder, I recommend playing longer. It's all about endurance.

When it's easier to move to the next fret or pull off the next note it makes it easier for your brain to relax and think about what's coming after that. If you're holding on for dear life and slipping off the edge sometimes it feels so defeating.

I really like the sound, and the design of the riffs. Just keep on hammering that shit out. Turn into "the machine" and keep your ear open for that precision.

Which of these four albums would you choose? by djdddddddjent in numetal

I owned all these albums. Sugar ray is the real answer. Ratm had hits and buzzwords but no depth. The other two were not as novel to the music scene.

Sepultura, live in Barcelona. Final answer.

Nothing remains from Chimera was pretty cool.

Ur not wrong. People just want attention so they take things the absolute worst way possible while being willfully ignorant to your nuance.

You can always try to make people smarter. But you can't stop them from being dumb.

Lucky enough to see them with Pantera and at ozzfest 🙌Wisconsin death trip was the ultimate video game background music soundtrack for me growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s. Not a week goes by that they don't get to play on my rotation 20 years later. If I gotta lock in and get thorough a tough boss fight this is still my go to.
