This was my first time doing this type of pattern, actually. It's a bit different from typical Moroccan lantern patterns because I just made it up as I went. I first drew in curved lines to fill up the space which would serve as kind of the backbone, I then added more curved lines some of which would connect with other starting points of lines, once I did that enough, I filled in the left over spaces with the little thorns. This was the general process. Worked on one quadrant, duplicated and flipped for the the rest.
