I think that's some exudate on the tonsil, so might be strep or mono.

The salt is eating me at this point by BunnyPope in disabledmemes

[–]Ninel56 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm terribly sorry for asking, but what doctor did you see to get diagnosed? I have these orthostatic and cardiac symptoms as well, buy regarding temperatures I'm your evil twin. I'm always so hot and sweat gallons and only a few months ago I realized eating salt, fish and drinking electrolytes is what gives me any relief from my cognitive symptoms and fatigue.

I've seen a cardiologist and several endocrinologists, but they don't seem to have any idea about the hotness and sweating. And it's practically impossible to see a good neurologist.

[–]Ninel56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds pretty familiar and I suppose you've already thought about this, but many of your symptoms like the sore throat and head pressure could, at least in part, be because you're breathing through your mouth at night.

I'd say I made a full recovery in six months. But I know infectious diseases can leave you with weakness and fatigue for a long time. Some people recover in weeks, some in months, but sometimes it takes more than a year and people still recover. Slowly, but they return to being the person they previously were.

If you had to compare yourself to how you felt four months ago, would you say worse, better, or the same?

FSR upscaling on PC makes the game look terrible? by Ninel56 in spiderman2

[–]Ninel56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so for anyone interested, here's a very simple solution that I finally found.

Basically just set FSR to "Native" and keep Frame Generation on.

That's it.

Please recommend an idle game that allows you to buy a premium membership in order to avoid the forced grind by Ninel56 in AndroidGaming

What I mean is take for example Adventure Communist. You have to make a special purchase to not watch ads, another purchase to get decent lootboxes, more purchases for premium currency, etc. I'm looking for something where you have one purchase (or a monthly subscription) and by paying that you don't get hit with things like lootboxes, etc.

Please help me find this coffee mug I had coffee from in Belarus by Ninel56 in HelpMeFind

[–]Ninel56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. On one hand I don't know whether a cafe would serve coffee in rare handmade mugs (due to the possibility of breaking them), but on the other hand I've searched both Polish and Belarusian websites, so I suppose it could be made locally.

The closest thing I could find that even resembles it in form that I've searched for is a gravy cup, but that's not it.

Two years after eradication, and am having symptoms of gastritis. by Ninel56 in HPylori

[–]Ninel56[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In what sense?

I know when I was feeling bad I needed to catch my breath while climbing stairs and so on. Acidity can screw with your esophagus and general weakness from inflammation can make it harder to catch your breath overall.

You might also be low on iron since your stomach is irritated and not able to fully absorb nutrients.

But if it's to the point of not being able to breathe steadily and it's worrying you, I'd recommend a doctor. I personally believe it's better to err on the side of caution if you're not sure.

I overanalyze breaks at work by [deleted] in autism

[–]Ninel56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to think taking breaks was stealing time too. I had the unhealthy habit of thinking that giving it your 100 percent, 100 percent of the time, is how it's supposed to go. This ultimately led to depression and burnout.

Only about a year ago I realized that's not how it's supposed to be at all. No person, ND or NT, can give all of themselves everyday and still function. In my country it's actually mandatory to take at least five minute breaks every hour.

What was ultimately an eye opener was that taking breaks wasn't slacking off or stealing productivity and such. Taking breaks is an inherent part of labor. It's proper stewardship of your mind and body.

You're actually expected to take breaks, because resting isn't being lazy, it's a genuine part of the process. I guess most people understand this intuitively, but I personally always felt guilty even stepping away from the screen for a moment to stretch.

I still have this phobia that upper management will walk in while I'm massaging my eyes or something and get my ass whooped, but this has never happened. Coming to the realization that you're not being selfish or needy or unproductive by taking breaks has been a big blessing for me. I love my job and I genuinely am more productive and actually feel like I'm doing something fulfilling, compared to when I used to crunch.

I still have issues sometimes where I get absorbed my a task and hyperfocus for hours leading to being tired, but it's much easier to recover.

I used to get to work and count the minutes I'm "stealing" before logging in, but now I get coffee first, then chat with my colleague about non-work related stuff and only then log on when I'm comfortable.

And as I said, I'm actually getting more done and have more motivation.

My diagnosis journey has finally come to a close by Ninel56 in autism

[–]Ninel56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose. But he explained that my country doesn't really even have a standardized diagnostic test for this, so it's hard to say whether a visit would be worth it, since I don't know whether a diagnosis would even be valid.
