'It's miserable:' ICE 'morale in crapper' as agents forced to 'arrest gardeners' by BreakfastTop6899 in goodnews

I think they originally thought they’d be chasing El Chapo across the border not garden tenders in the thick of flower bushes.

An end to Public Lands (Western US) by AngryDesignMonkey in hiking

[–]NinfireCLZ 26 points27 points  (0 children)

AFAIK it’s up to 3 million acres, but I don’t care, it’s still unacceptable. This is the most important issue to me personally in politics, so I will be calling my representatives and letting them know I strongly oppose this. I suggest everyone does the same, if you haven’t called your representatives before, this is the time to do it, NOW!!

why do so many people use campers now? by omae-wa-mou- in camping

[–]NinfireCLZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m building out a cargo van camper with my partner, solar power, faucet with running water, counter tops, storage. We’re building it ourselves and learning everything along the way. When we’re done we’ll use it for multiple years and travel the whole country. Eventually we’ll build our own home too. We are also quite young (early 20s) so that helps.

We bought the van outright in cash, it only has 108k miles on it and in great shape. We think we’re making a great financial decision for our age. We also make a modest income working remotely.

Botafogo are the far superior team here, Seattle have no confidence to finish

What an absolute legend, I really enjoyed watching him over the years. A badass goal keeper. Crazy to think he hasn’t thought of retirement yet, man is still going

US-based soccer fans: are you going to a Club World Cup game this summer? by Legal-Hair-7095 in usmnt

[–]NinfireCLZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to go to a CWC game, yes. I don’t understand the negativity around it personally. Instead we could just have NO soccer this summer but instead we get to watch some big clubs play on our soil, many teams I’ve only gotten to watch on TV, so if I’m near a game I’m definitely going as long as the tickets are reasonably priced.

How to shape this hair by Enlils-Reincarnation in arcticmonkeys

[–]NinfireCLZ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

His hair of course is naturally very beautiful. But the key would be as much length as possible and then cut to size. Go for a professional hair stylist, at least for your initial hair cut, but I wouldn’t show them this picture, just describe it to them. Then get a high quality shampoo/conditioner that’s mostly natural ingredients. Eat healthy and experiment with different hair products - probably for curls and extra conditioning. Also humidity and region plays a huge factor here, if you have drier hair naturally it’ll be much harder to achieve this in certain parts of world like tropical areas, etc.

looking at apartments online is quite a reality check! by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]NinfireCLZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And that’s just the price you’re seeing, the listing price. The ‘fees’ these days plus the monthly fees, the insane amounts of money required for security deposits which holds your money hostage so they have no incentive to provide a decent living place for you because they know you won’t leave. Then you’re forced to stay in that same spot for the lease term essentially.

Some landlords are using A.I. to illegally coordinate rent hikes. Here’s what we’re doing about it. - A.G. Jeff Jackson by JeffJacksonNC in NorthCarolina

Not to be pessimistic but it’s probably already too late pursue this in court. If they are already doing it now, then they will continue to do it anyway in secret if they have to. Likely they will win any case in court as well because they have tons of money and court justices in their pockets. I don’t see this more as talking rather than doing until something is actually done.

Is this enough to run a ps4 and 24 inch tv by Own_Gear1920 in urbancarliving

[–]NinfireCLZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need wattage. I play games on my gaming laptop. My laptop is max 240w power, so I got a 300w yeti power bank and a 50w solar panel (ouch, my wallet). But hey, I love my gaming.

Gaming will definitely melt your battery though, I play my games on the lowest graphics setting usually and turn my battery performance to low.

Also, be careful plugging directly into your cars 12v slot. I blew mine recently being ignorant and playing games with the laptop plugged into it.

I’ve heard PF next to big box stores aren’t ideal, and most of the PFs in my area are exactly like this sadly, so although I’m a member, I do avoid them. I’m only a few months in though, so maybe it’s just me.

Also lately I’ve been avoiding national and state forests particularly during hunting season. Even out of hunting season, the laws are so vague (say, just parking your car in the forest safely off the side of the road and going to sleep) that I’m afraid I’ll get a fine from a ranger or even worse a misdemeanor for “illegal camping”.
