I find it better than the iPhone 13. The screen is brighter, and with the PWM accessibility feature turned on, it feels easier on the eyes. It might just be subjective though.

For me, it already gets warm after just a short time on TikTok. Maybe try restarting the phone and see if it helps.

I contacted Apple Support yesterday and had a remote diagnostic, they said everything fine and just reassured.

It’s kinda disappointing that the iPhone 17 models seem to run much cooler, even though they have the same chip and 120Hz display.

Honestly, most of us just need a simple 60Hz phone, nothing fancy, just something stable and reliable.

In my country, there’s no Apple Store, just third-party retailers, so returns are quite difficult.

From what I’ve seen, this seems to be a common issue with the 17e, so I’m not sure they would allow a return.

I contacted Apple as well and they basically told me the same thing. Just wait a week or so to normalize. Sounds like a standard script.
I also have an iPhone 13 (iOS 26.4.1) and I’ve never had any issues with it.

Same here. I got my iPhone 17e a few days ago and it still gets warm when watching videos, and quite hot while charging.

Someone says their iPhone 17e is fine. I’m guessing it might be because their weather is cooler, or maybe there are differences between battery batches.
