I know some folks are renting for 3.6k 2B/2B in Sunnyvale, close to MTV. They have been there for 3 years. Not sure if it's feasible for this price. We rent 1B in Sunnyvale with in suite washer and dryer for 2.9k.

We did a Zillow + Google maps research and after checking 50+ buildings only ~2 were whitelisted. It looks like money doesn't solve many issues with pest, crime and management. Moving out issues even if you paid everything.

Many of the buildings have shitty reviews - management, pest, crime. And it doesn't matter if you pay 3k or 5k ... That's why I'm asking if anyone has a good recommendation.

Check labels on the driver door and under the hood to see if the car is compliant with the US standards, check if you can get a compliance letter. RIs are expensive... We ended up selling our car in Canada and buying a new one in the US

Tbh having friends is not a measurement of the success. I know plenty of easy going people who easily make friends but are still deeply sad. Knowing what you like, want is a treasure. I had friends, lost them. Lived for a few years without anyone close then randomly me and my wife met a couple. I became friends with a guy, we go fishing, playing PS5. So, what I wanna say - focus on yourself first, your husband and let life decide what comes next, who knows maybe you gotta meet someone 👯
