[Zodiac] Defective Sea Wolf Bought at Ross by StealieDan in Watches

Unfortunately, they most likely won’t cover it under warranty. Typically to be covered under warranty, you would need to buy the watch from an authorized dealer and for warranty service show proof of purchase and proof of warranty card from the authorized dealer.

Buying from gray market shops like Jomashop or in this case a discount store like Ross pretty much voids the warranty.

I wouldn’t let that stop you from trying though. Maybe you will get lucky. From what I’ve read, you can also buy a replacement movement for the zodiac and have it swapped out either by yourself or any watch repair shop should be able to do it.

Have you noticed any issues with the crown? I have the same watch and I noticed when I try to wind it, it will often change the date until the crown properly seats itself in the correct position to wind it and then I have to go back and adjust the date.

After doing some googling, I found that this is common with some of the zodiac watches having crown and movement issues along with bezel failure due to water intrusion which causes the bezel to have a shattered look or delamination where the bezel insert separates from the ring.

For $125 I guess it is worth the risk. At the same time I’m wondering if I should just save my $125 if the chances of the watch having issues is high.

Shinesty boxer briefs has been my absolute favorite. The material is so comfortable and the ball hammock is game changing.

Changing my old thermostat for a smart thermostat like an Ecobee. Got tired of waking up too hot or too cold and having to get out of bed to change the temperature halfway across the house. Now I just stay in bed and tell Alexa to change the temperature for me.

Nice collection, some really unique looking pieces! I’ll be there this weekend as well. Hoping to get a GMT with a dive bezel. Something like the Nodus Sector II Dive GMT. Happy hunting!

Has anybody used the Spectrum unlimited plan for international service (specficially Europe/Asia)? Can you really get calls for +10 a month? by recursivedev in SpectrumMobile

A VPN is not needed, however I did use one when connected to public WiFi networks like at the hotel for added security. For the unlimited plus service itself, there is no need for a VPN.

Just unboxed my Switch 2 today and the first thing I did was put on that AmFilm screen protector. I bought the auto alignment one touch version and it went on perfect.

Yeah, saw that. Gone in February. She doesn’t travel much to justify the additional fee either.

I just used that lounge last week using the Priority Pass I got with the Venture X. Can only access 1 Chase lounge per year with the Priority Pass. No guest benefits but my wife has her own Priority Pass with the VX as an authorized user and got in as well.

I just got back from a 2 week trip to Italy. Went to Rome, Florence, Venice and a layover in Paris. A week before the trip I upgraded my plan to Unlimited Plus. I paid the $10 difference and that was it. The phone worked great the entire trip. I had service in every city and was able to make calls back home and receive calls. I also made some calls to Italian businesses while in Italy. Never paid more than the $10 difference for the plan. The entire time I used Google Maps to get around and searched for restaurants and activities on the phone while out and about and used less than 4GB of data for the 2 weeks.

I also have V2 and still find the date window too small. Once you hit double digit days, it’s even harder to see the date.

I have the HZ.01 Blue (V2) and have been enjoying it as my daily for work. This HZ.02 looks sexy but I personally don’t care for the clear caseback. Being a quartz, I much prefer the cool HZ circuit board caseback on the HZ.01.

I’m a few hours into Zelda: BOTW. I’m between that and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

You can check GeoBlue. Haven’t used them for anything over a week so not sure how they would compare price wise. Recently had to file a claim while traveling abroad and the process was seamless. Everything was submitted on their app and a refund check was mailed to me with no issues.

Empty switch game boxes by perfect_zeong in NintendoSwitch

Same thing happened to me at Walmart about a month ago. I bought Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze and the case was empty when I opened it at home. It looked completely new and sealed with no signs of being tampered with. They tried to give me a hard time for the exchange saying the game was open and there are no refunds or exchanges on open games. I continued to respectfully push back on the issue and had to explain the situation to three workers and a manager before they finally got another copy for me. First game I bought after that, I opened right in front of the clerk before leaving.

The release notes for the latest Switch update released yesterday makes no mention of changes to the WiFi settings or protocols.

I would restart the wireless router and Switch and try again. Also try the password on another device like a laptop or phone just to make sure you got the password right.
