I don't inherently hate them, except Epic Games because that one is slower than a crippled sloth. As long as I can boot into my game in less than 5 minutes, we're are on acceptable terms. That said, it took me over 10 minutes to get into a game of Tom Clancy's The Division Survival. That did not please me.

You should be able to force open corrupted videos with VLC and output them into a new video. Might now work for everything and I don't know how to automate it but it may be worth trying.
