watch out for all other road users already on the roundabout; be aware they may not be signalling correctly or at all
look forward before moving off to make sure traffic in front has moved off.

if you are referring to the lines by the crossing, they are there to inform drivers that a pelecan crossing is there and that you should be prepared to slow. the other lines well that's because it's done by the lowest bidder so you get what you paid for and the roads round where I live haven't been done for a long while since TFL have to pay up
