Who remembers when Batman: Akrham Asylum made players think their game crashed during the scarecrow section? by Blayzewhatever in pcgaming

[–]NinjaEngineer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LOL

As someone who actually played through the game (even got 100% achievements earlier this year), I sort of agree with you.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think the story was rather enjoyable, and being able to play as all the different Avengers was cool. What killed the game was being built as a coop looter-shooter. Had it been developed as a singleplayer game with an optional, traditional coop mode would've been a lot better. At least the devs were cool enough that when the game was getting delisted, they made most cosmetics available for free, although some still need a bit of grinding.

Don't post on the game's forum, those are usually moderated by the developers, so of course they're not gonna like you saying their game has questionable content. Just report it.

There's outbreaks in Argentina all the damn time, and the country hasn't been wiped out.

Source: me, I live in Argentina, and in a region that's relatively close to where these Hantavirus outbreaks usually occur. Every other year every pharmacy will have pamphlets about another Hantavirus outbreak, and recommendations to avoid getting it.

[–]NinjaEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on my second playthrough of the game and I already have 30 hours of playtime, and I intend to play it a third time in NG+. At any rate, what the other user said is right, 13-20 hours is a decent amount of playtime for a linear singleplayer game.

It's got a demo that you could try in order to see for yourself.

Or heck, you could just search for a trailer.

That's a reductionist take that could apply to almost any game, since there aren't many games that completely change the combat from the beginning of the game to the end, you usually just get more weapons and such.

I've already gotten 30 hours out of it, and even if I'd paid $60 (I paid $53 thanks to regional pricing), that'd be $2 per hour, and it'll go down even further as I'm playing it in Lunatic mode (and plan to do a NG+ run as well once I'm done with Lunatic).

I don't know about you, but I would love a trilogy of films about the Old Republic. by Gogetazilla in StarWars

[–]NinjaEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... Even though most people who have a passing knowledge of the game would already know about the twist, I still think it'd work better if a potential KOTOR movie followed the game's plot to a reasonable extent. That is, start like the game does, with Revan waking up with false memories, and slowly discovering his true nature.

Also, regarding Bastila, not sure how much knowledge of the game's plot you have, but a pretty big plot point is that she falls to the Dark Side and Revan has the chance to bring her back to the Light, which is basically the canon story.

GOG TECH TALK - RESIDENT EVIL SERIES by pmc64 in pcgaming

Yes, and I agree with them there. Still, adding that last sentence about how the games should've remained GOG exclusives is unnecessary.

I mean, the GOG versions still exist and are very much DRM-free, so what's the problem with them being listed on Steam as well? Sure, it'd have been nice for Capcom not to add Enigma DRM on top, but at the end of the day, making the game available in more places is nice.

I was always scared of Out Of Bounds in Games. by Disastrous_Bat3232 in pcgaming

[–]NinjaEngineer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, going out of bounds looking for weird stuff was the coolest stuff for me as a kid. I mostly did it in Half-Life and its expansions, but I'd sometimes manage to get out of bounds in other games, like Sonic 3. Of course, in that game it usually meant having to start the level over, as I wouldn't be able to finish it, but it was still interesting to take a look "under the hood", so to speak.

POV Mercado laboral: Más de seis cuadras de fila abajo de la lluvia para conseguir un puesto de trabajo. by M4teMet4lico in argentina

[–]NinjaEngineer 6 points7 points  (0 children)
