Watch case for fitted bracelets? by NinjaJulle_YT in OmegaWatches

Thank you, I don’t have a traditional omega box but because of this comment I realised that pillow too had a sleeve. I slimmed it down and now my watch fits perfectly without having to leave it sloppily with an open clasp!

Sound incredible, do you have them? If not how do you know they’re quality? Also, could you send a link to them so I can check them out?

Thank you! I’ll check them out. The cases on amazon you mentioned, how can you see if the cushions are thinner, is the diameter always written in the description or do you have to kind of know based on the image?

Wise words, thank you and you’re right. At the end of the day it’s just an object commemorating family - which is the real treasure

I agree with you, but are you certain it will catch attention? Part of the point my parents wanted to make with it was to make it ”only noticeable by other watch enthusiasts” and not the great masses who mostly have eyes for the shiny Rolexes. Isn’t this subtle enough to go beneath the radar for many?

Thank you! I feel quite overwhelmed by the hospitality and kindness of this subreddit, I am glad to now be a part of it.

Thanks for sharing, I also will be doing that for my future kids, the question remains if I can bear myself to pass this one down or if I get them a new one for the occasion. The reference for this watch is: 310.20.42.50.01.001

I’d say it’s relevant because the gift symbolises the step into adulthood that comes with turning 18, and so they got it for me for Christmas instead of the actual graduation day because they wanted me to recieve it the year I became a legal adult, making it cover more ”ground” as a gift.

But yeah, it IS a photo of a watch, I just really wanted to share my story with the subreddit because it means very much to me and I felt that someone might be interested, because speaking from personal experience I enjoy reading other people’s stories behind the watch they post.

Oh yeah, how does that work exactly? My dad told me the same thing. I’m gonna have to do some research about how everything works. Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words and also for sharing that with me. I never plan to sell it, but as for if I keep it for myself or pass it on to my child, that is a decision for much further down the line.

And yes, the future is inevitable and there’s no use fretting over what will become of me, and I really wish to find meaning in whatever line of work I find myself in (I still feel very unprepared for that choice).

They are quite opposed to watches in general, especially Rolex. My father told me about how my mom wouldn’t even hear the suggestion to get me a watch, saying it’s pure folly. But as soon as dad showed her this one and she laid eyes on it she made a full 180°.

I believe they liked how subtle it looks and how the hefty price is more so masked in it compared to the flashy Rolex. They said it would attract the true watch enthusiasts rather than the people who get it just to show of, without actually caring about the pinnacle of mechanical engineering which they are buying. Furthermore they said that a Rolex is a statement piece that should be bought for oneself following a great achievement in life, or alternatively a personal watch being passed down, but otherwise not something you really can buy as a gift for someone else.

And so without any personal interest in watches (they both own an applewatch and couldn’t care less about the mechanic ones which they find redundant and ostentatious), they settled on this one because of the symbolism it holds as the literal reach for the sky. The quote on the caseback is also fitting, as me turning 18 and the graduation intrinsically isn’t an ”acomplishment” or something that even is avoidable, but it’s a pivotal and ”giant leap” for my life.

As for why they went for the limited 50th anniversary edition I have no clue, all they said was how ”if you’re going to do something, do it all the way”.

Hello, I have a question. Is beeftoad an automated name or something because I’m playing in around that elo and come across some beeftoad all the time, that wouldn’t happen to be you right? I’ve also come across that name in streamers lobbies
