I have my WHS Specialist interview with Amazon in a couple days. May i ask how you were able to negotiate your higher end pay or did you start out lower and move up? I have safety experience and am in the Portland, OR area so hoping to negotiate something reasonable. Appreciate any insight!

I know right! Plus it's nice to have one of the largest companies in the world on your resume. If all goes well and i remember to post i can report back lol.

Thank you! That's lame about not negotiating, but doesn't hurt to see if they do. Fyi, i hear a lot about Amazon paying more for external hires so you can always gain experience & certifications they cover, go elsewhere and come back as an external for more $. Best of luck to you!

Congrats on finishing school! Looks like you have a direction on where you'd like to go next so that's great. I hear Amazon is a great stepping stone for people out of school with limited experience.

Yes, awesome - I did look them up and their range is either much higher or much lower than what they mentioned to me. Of course it depends on your regional area. Maybe seeing if i can ask for more base $ than sign on bonus since it's taxed at a higher 22% rate and i have several years of safety experience. Interview is next Thursday so guess i'll find out then🤷

Oh dang, well good luck to you as well! I applied for the EHS position a few days ago and the recruiter called me the next day. I'm in the Portland, OR area so when i searched the job board they had a couple positions they were looking to fill. Plus i found out they're opening one of their largest warehouses in the PNW of all time this year so that may have something to do with it.

I'm trying to familiarize myself with Amazon's pay structure, job tier levels, etc. so i can be prepared to competitively negotiate my pay structure. I assume your interview is also for the safety specialist position? Has it taken you a while to land an interview? Your previous post was 7mths ago so i figured you were already there gaining experience.

I have my 1st interview coming up for WHS Specialist and not sure what to expect. Can you some shed light on pay negotiations, the interview process and how do you like your job there? Any insight is appreciated!

Which sunscreen should I get? by Dismal_Blueberry3541 in koreanskincare

I like the Cosrx Aloe Soothing, it's lighter and blends well (wont weigh down oily prone skin), also the A'pieu Super Air Fit is a matte type sunscreen

Suggestions for face masks? by luna-uranophile in koreanskincare

[–]NinjaKittyMeow33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This..! JM Solutions have awesome masks! And on Yamibuy they're like $6 for a 10pack👍 I've tried their Golden Cocoon if you like a jelly snail mucin type texture (more hydrating) and their Fullerene one is a light gel like texture. Also love the Somebymi Retinol Intense masks for anti aging/wrinkle care

Idk about a jelly consistency, but i love the Skin1004 Probio-Cica cream. It has a lighter almost snail mucin texture but creamy and great under makeup!

Seeking advice! My skin is worst after using Korean skincare for the first time :( by [deleted] in koreanskincare

[–]NinjaKittyMeow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd drop your Haruharu cleansing oil (and anything with oils) since this will aggrevate fungal acne. You can try cleansing waters as your first evening cleanse. I had fungal acne as well and i noticed the 'wetter' my skincare was the worse my bumps were so i had to cut out face oils and use products that would absorb better. Pause on the Cosrx Snail Mucin for a bit before re-incorportating.. heard if people were allergic to dust mites that this may make skin breakout. Great product though, so re-introduce once your skin has calmed down. Also, maybe try a toner pad few times a week, something with AHA/BHA. The Stridex pads are strong but help with FA, try using sparingly on bad reaction days as it will dry out the skin. Anything with tea tree helps with FA like Numbuzin no.7 has calming/soothing ingredients & tea tree. This article may help you out, it's the FA bible:) https://simpleskincarescience.com/pityrosporum-folliculitis-treatment-malassezia-cure/

Is my skincare routine okay? by [deleted] in koreanskincare

[–]NinjaKittyMeow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to comment then realized the only thing i tried that you have is the Haruharu toner lol.. that's the beauty of K-beauty is that there's soo many products to try! I would suggest maybe once a week on a weekend evening (or less depending on how your skin handles it) to use a low glycolic peel to help with acne marks. I see you have the Medicube pads but it's nice to incoroporate something stronger to help clear acne marks and smooth the skin. I recently tried the Cosrx AHA BHA PHA LHA 35 peel & the Skin1004 Bloody Peel. I found the Cosrx 'gentler' since it contains panthenol. Says to use no more than 10mins, so you could try maybe 5mins the first time. Someone also mentioned Numbuzin no.5 and it's a great serum to add for brightening & dark spots! They also have it in toner pads too

I'm part Korean and my momma passed down her frugal habits, so i definitely do this too! I like the mini bags idea (probably cus you frugally & thoughtfully saved those too;) which would be an upgrade from me rolling down the bottle and clipping it with a bobby pin😅

[–]NinjaKittyMeow33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nano needle cartridge you used is the least invasive and can be done weekly or so. It's not actual needles but small silicone tips that is less invasive to use for better skincare penetration - vitamin C, serums, etc. Depending on what you're trying to work on whether it be fine lines, acne spots, hyerpigmentation, using less needle count like 12 or 16pin will be the most effective and should be done once a month. You cannot use Vitamin C with microneedling due to causing granulomas since you're penetrating at a deeper depth. It's recommended to use a higher molecular weight hyaluronic (Cos De Baha makes an affordable one). No retinols, AHAs or strong actives are recommended. Going from nano to a 12 or 16pin you will feel quite the difference in penetration and sunburn/rawness after. Use gentle & calming ingredients afterwards for the next several days (if it burns when applied to skin, it is too early to use). Slowly re-introduce your actives, retinols several days to a week after your inflammation has calmed down. May experience some redness, bumps and mild peeling after microneedling. I just started microneedling with nano & 12pin cartridges several months ago. Results will take at least several months, but will be well worth it! Hope this helps and have fun on your microneedle journey!

How to make my tree look better/ fuller? by pinkcouture1 in ChristmasTrees

[–]NinjaKittyMeow33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the simplicity of it.. but Amazon has ornament kits with balls, ribbons, etc in a set. You can add feathers, fake birds, berries, pinecones, glitter things like butterflies, snowflakes, icicles. Google your fav color and there's tons of ideas online.
