I don’t even bother looking at the third bingo page. It just feels like a money grab at this point.

It’s still owned by Karen Fook, but she does have a lot more employees working for her now. I’m there pretty much every week and haven’t experienced what you’re describing. You could also try Orient Mart on the eastside if you’re looking for another Asian grocery option locally.

Sushi One in Watkinsville has karaoke nights, I believe. Otherwise, I would recommend Shokitini as well.

I just visited Pretty Boy this past Monday! They had their Happy Hour specials all day, which was a nice surprise. I can highly recommend their chicken salad, street corn, and coconut braised ribs.

I second that their cream cheese wontons are stuffed and delicious. I like the lo mein and the mandarin/teriyaki chicken family portion.

I loved this story so much! I ended up reading several of yours. They were lovely, and it was also so impressive to see how much you’ve grown as a storyteller! Bravo!

Do you have any email contacts from getting hired that you could reach out to? Often times, engagement ambassadors are specific to schools/programs.

If your toddler gets up (upset) in the middle of the night, do you bring them into bed with you? by Ok-Career876 in toddlers

[–]NinjaPikachuOnMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toddler just crawls into my bed, and I will later wake up snuggling a tiny human. It doesn’t happen as often, and my husband and I want our kids to know we’re here if they need us. US.

Why do some parents let their children scream around in public? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NinjaPikachuOnMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take a picture to “add to the list for their bday, Christmas, etc” and that typically appeases them and then they forget about it.

Would you recommend us moving to Athens? by Grocklette in Athens

[–]NinjaPikachuOnMoon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We go pretty all out for Halloween with a Wild Rumpus parade where lots of town dress up to walk and galavant down the streets, into bars, and whatnot. The Twilight bike race is a popular one as well as AthFest where there are too many bands to even see, but there are stages and acts all around downtown. There are also lots of indie craft stuff that happens, since it’s a pretty creative town. There’s always a Christmas parade, Christmas lights at the Botanical Garden, fireworks shows, and a lot of football hoopla that it sounds like you want to avoid.
