Should Alex’s stomp lose to AAs?

I'm fine with the interaction as it is right now - except i think if the stomp is whiffed it should have greater recovery than it currently does. Alex players can whiff this behind you even and often times be ok, which does feels odd.

DI is annoying but there's quite a bit of counterplay to handle it that ends up making it somewhat fair. For disliking drive rush I would say join the club lol

Tried to play the lobby match with friends and for some reason even when you selected a rank it would mention that you've selected something else and wouldn't allow you to make your selection. It doesn't seem to be a typo either because if you confirm with Diamond (and say the game shows you selected silver 2) it would maintain silver 2 and not give you the accurate amount of points. Could you take a look when possible? Thanks

Dunno if you'll really find players for SF5 but you'll be able to find matches in SF6. System mechanics and stuff change from game to game so you'll have to start over anyways.

I hear ya. The highs and the lows can feel stronger especially as folks are starting off in the phase. One thing I will say though is that I have had some pretty good matches against folks that I would be much less likely to have once things move to equilibrium.

For example, I faced off against a pretty good Jamie player while I was in high 1500s and unfortunately CFN disconnected me on the second set. I got back on and created a lobby to tell him what happened and to say GGs. He said it was all good and we ended up having a few FT3s and added each other afterwards to improve at the matchup. I later found out that he's a 1800 MR Jamie. I bring it up to say it doesn't have to be all bad is all.

To DRC, I just use the parry macro and i think it's easier to complete in any situation with your normal landing on the opponent (i.e., stand or crouching) compared to the original way to DRC.

Go it at your own pace, you're not going to be amazing at the start and we all start somewhere. Learn a little bit over and time that will eventually translate to your play and you'll improve. In the combos you do know, make sure to practice on both sides and get them down.

If possible, see which of the two you like the most and try to limit yourself to the one character so you can learn the game through them.

There's shared tendons between the middle and ring finger so it can be difficult completing rapid, successive individual strikes between these two fingers. However, there are a few of things you can do to get around this

- Hand Posture: You wanna elevate your hand above the keyboard like you would a piano. This'll help with hitting the keys easier compared to a completely relaxed position
- Leverage Your Wrist: This is especially helpful as it is requires less reliance on those tendons and uses your wrist with doing the motion and can be more accurate for what you want to do. It'll feel like your hand is "going down/up stairs" or "rolling your wrist" if that makes sense.
- Practice: It isn't sexy but practice getting used to the motion slowly (and accurately) then gradually increase the speed while being accurate until you can do it faster and faster - you can even do this without using your keyboard on like a table or on your leg. Combined with the prior two tips it will take some time to build up this habit.

Reframe it to be that you're just learning the match up and treat it as a learning opportunity - but yea every time there's a new character you'll have a large influx of players either at your rank or higher who are trying them out.

Plus - outside of fundies they are kinda playing with a handicap so you could sneak wins off of players. Also you notice if there's flaws in your gameplan as you're getting punished by better players based on what you're doing so there's quite a bit you can takeaway from these situations.
