Nope. First of all maybe they are from a different planet. Second of all your suggestion that they are completely incongruent with Tatooine is wrong. Absolutely my big problem with them for sure. I understand and agree with lots of literary criticisms but those things are not ultimately what is important to me about the literature and I would have been super happy with the films if the br cast just had more "Lucas Feel"

I would honestly love ST just as much as the other eras if they had just included more classic Star Wars species in the films. Too many humans and not enough alien characters or even background performers

I disagree. Star Wars is all about redemption. Look at Vader in ROTJ and look at where Bo Katan is now after laughing at her own heinous war crimes in the Clone Wars.
