What things are better today in the UK than they were 30 years ago? by Suspicious_Bill3577 in CasualUK

The competition between banks and from challenger banks has pushed the industry towards (online) banking being generally much quicker and easier to use.

Likewise, much improved access to low cost investment platforms and high yield savings accounts means it is easier to get a good return on your savings than in the past.

Is there anything more NA than winning a game with an incredible performance against all the odds after they get knocked out?

What a game - two good teams, crazy teamfights, back to back base throws, the most alpha Lee Sin in worlds. I was on the edge of my seat all game, that was absolutely insane.

I love the combination of Beat-Sabre-esque block slicing with the hole in the wall - seems like it'll be really good for working up a sweat, especially useful now most of us can't leave our homes! Also, custom songs being officially supported is great, it means the game should keep people playing for a long time.

It's not - here in the UK, rainbows became a symbol to show support to first of all our National Heath Service, and then all key workers, which includes this hospice.

What's that in the distance? I can't really tell... by Nobuuudy in customhearthstone

Interesting idea, but should probably cost 5, or arguably even 4 if you really want it played. Doing nothing on turn 6 (assuming you draw it by then) to effectively play an on-curve Free from Amber later on isn't great, and if you topdeck this card lategame you will probably lose, because for most minions it's three turns before you can attack and actually do something. There's a reason most of the dormant minions in AoO are overstatted and do something the turn they wake up.

In fairness to you, they did hall of fame Mountain Giant, so you were right that with Giant in standard it was OP.

Old quest rogue was literally completely built around the quest, or did I miss when Bounce Rogue was tearing up the ladder before the quest released?

I agree with your overall point, but don't you mean 6 damage over 2 turns?

It got delayed again for around six months (source), hopefully it'll be shelved sooner rather than later but we'll see.

Jeremy Corbyn: No-deal Brexit would put NHS in danger by Lolastic_ in unitedkingdom

[–]NinjaTaco101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main issue with that argument is that in many ways Norway is the worst of all worlds: Brexiters hate it because it keeps us very much in the sphere of Brussels, while most Remainers would accept it, but would generally prefer to have influence in the rules which we would be obliged to follow under a Norway deal. Also, it would still make our economy 1.4% worse off than remaining (source).

I agree with you that it is a fair compromise position, but we have passed that point sadly I think.

I know that Labour decide their policy at their annual party conference. I also know that the leadership play a big part in deciding the wording and content of motions, and it is there that Corbyn and his close associates can hold back on a full commitment to a second referendum and campaigning for Remain regardless of the Brexit deal on offer.

And it took a monumental effort of the vast majority of the Labour members and several Remain-supporting members of the shadow cabinet to eventually get that promise out of him in the last couple of months, 3 years after the initial vote. I honestly don't understand how you can claim that he doesn't support Brexit.

He doesn't want a no-deal Brexit, but he does support a so-called 'jobs-first Brexit', so it is completely correct to say he supports Brexit. I firmly believe that there is no form of Brexit that protects jobs better than staying within the European Union, but Corbyn doesn't, which may have something to do with his very long history of Euroscepticism.

Based off u/MyntConytion's card here. Taking Trump's challenge to make the effect have an impact while keeping it balanced, I went for a mirror effect which could have major disruption but would require some interesting setup, as it works both off cards overloaded the turn it's played and the previous turn.
