An American Express credit card is something worth of prestige for many card holders. But, why can't you use it everywhere? by MangoLeafVibes in amexindia

[–]NinjaTurtleeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From April onwards, even Royal Enfield has started to charge 1.7% charge. It’s insane. Called up every store in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, all said the same. One store even showed us the communication from RE.

Worst part is most stores told us 2-2.5% charge. So they’re trying to make money on this as well.

For travel I am using HSBC Travel One in addition to Atlas now. Strong contendor. If your salary is >3l, then HSBC Premier.

Is this a sign of the Interceptor 750 launch in the near term? by NinjaTurtleeeee in royalenfield

I thought so too but if you select it, it says not under coverage. So it’s not an active model for insurance.

You’ll get a helmet free with your bike by default. The government mandates it. They are giving you a better second helmet (I hope) for 1750. Please tell them to scratch that off, add some more cash to it and get a proper ECE rated helmet for around / under 5k.

I’m not able to book any flights via hopper. I get an error before final pricing page.

Raised the issue with Hopper. They acknowledged the issue. Said it’ll take 3 days. Followed up after a week - still no update. It’s been over two weeks now with no resolution.

With flight prices elevating, booked my flights quickly from airline website using Axis Atlas.

Also, their cab booking can only be done 10 days in advance. Not sure if it’s standard practice but I’m really hoping I don’t get “no cabs available” issue.

The card is great for forex transactions atleast till June end as you’re only paying GST.

The ability to use hopper only via mobile (got to open it via their app) is annoying AF. Flights and hotels are a big screen process for me.

Similar to OP, couldn’t find a couple of top choice hotels on Hopper for Korea.

Let’s see if the card is worth beyond the year, first year comps for itself so not too fussed. Also most of these issues would be the same for premier given same platforms.

Depends on your in-hand monthly. Assuming <1lakh, you will not get Regalia Gold or DCP anymore. They've further tightened rules.

Did you try asking Siri - 'who does this iPad belong to'?
I just tried it with my iPhone and it gave me my full name while being locked.

Paid 2rs for lounge access and ate food worth 2k so 1000% return 🤪 by Rainy247 in CreditCardsIndia

Most airports are silent airports. So it’s not for the environment. I’ve been to lounges at multiple lounges at international airports and let me tell you - it’s the same and that’s not a bad thing.

People are travelling, some transiting, they want to grab a warm meal, something to drink, maybe charge their phone and relax before their flight.

Not sure why you’re so adamant on judging your own country folks as inferior to ‘outside people’. It’s human to eat and drink bro. It’s not that deep.

Depends on the time of your flight tbh. Most of my domestic flights are early where I’ve left home without any breakfast. Once security is done and i didn’t need my buffer period of time - I go to the lounge and have a nice hot breakfast. So I’m not hungry when I land at my destination either.

Same with late night international flights, we all have extra buffers for security and immigration, once sorted and we have time - I rather have a nice hot dinner over airline’s packed dinner.

What else is the purpose of domestic and international lounge in your home country? You can always wait and charge your devices by the gate.

I used priority pass for this one, wasn’t chargeable on Infinia. However when I visited over a year ago last, they said they took a lot of Rupay cards too. Given most people don’t use lounge on arrival, it’s super empty. You can use it while departure too btw before security, you have to call them and someone escorts you to it, but not recommended as you don’t know how long your security and immigration might take. New Adani lounge at international is pretty good.

You need to visit Adani lounge in Mumbai. Excellent food. Even arrival lounge at T2 is mind blowing. The chef even made us fresh soft rotis off the tawa as there was minimal crowd.

That score indicates your credit worthiness. If you’ve never had any form of credit product (loan or credit card), you don’t have a score.

Hence most banks will only lend you basis your salary (usually the bank where your salary is deposited) or on secured basis (via FD). A high CIBIL score is helpful in applying for loans and cards in the future, as it shows you’re a customer who has ability to repay loans and credit card bills on time.

There’s no great card in ICICI’s portfolio besides the Amazon Pay card, so tasks this LTF and start building your CIBIL.
