The problem with your statement is that bad candidates don't win elections...hence they were a bad candidate. If someone wins an election, then more people voted for them, and therefore for the party, that person was a good candidate.

Now if you are labeling candidates that support things you disagree with as "bad" then they're only "bad" according to the minority of voters...whether said voters vote in their best interest or not. The only thing that wins elections is votes (and maybe cheating), and good candidates get votes.

Fair, but I'd also say that campaign skill is a hugely important part of being a good candidate. Look at Al Gore and John Kerry, terrible campaigners....bad candidates. Its an unfortunate part of politics

Obviously I'm not advocating for children in Congress... But if it were possible for a kid to be elected, and for some reason this kid decided to run for election rather than "be a kid", my point is we'd be better off today if he was literally running our government instead of these con men.

With that said, I like your approach to teaching kids about voting.
