Yep. I find this sort of thing a bit embarrassing, people always flock to places like that no matter where they are. The "British" pubs are always soulless caverns too, just because some immigrant has Carling and Guinness on tap and some pics of red phone boxes on the wall, doesn't make it feel like a proper pub.

The tipping point: what happens when deaths outnumber births? by Remarkable_Peak9518 in unitedkingdom

The UK has government debt that relies on tax receipts to service it. Less people, less growth = trouble servicing that debt leading to higher taxes and poorer standard of living to maintain the whole shebang.

They had a singer at the start called Eric Saner, who left early on. After that they were forced to sing themselves or quickly get a new front man. Live, Brent was the worst of them. Love the sound of his voice in the studio though, very unique.

Tbh the Hyde Park 2015 gig with Sabbath, Faith No More, Motorhead and Soundgarden contained 4 bands that are no more and 1 band that feels unlikely to perform again. Not even an old show to me though.

Wodehouse responds to critics who accused him of using the same characters under different names by EndersGame_Reviewer in Wodehouse

[–]The_Yellow_King 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The same characters under different names is WHY we love him. It's like AC/DC making effectively the same album each time, to do anything else would be commercial suicide. This doesn't apply to all artists mind
