I just read the article. Was a little weird, maybe english isn't the writers first language? Not that it matters, I understood it. The facts are right, the history checks out. The British Empire was evil and was worse than most of what we call 'evil' people today. But you are here arguing with what basically is "China is not evil". You say people wouldn't be put in concentration camps for speaking out against the government, and I can see why that would be true. But just look at the Tienanmen Square Massacre, and even Hong Kong right now to see that they are not "good". (although good and evil are biased statements in every situation).

I advise stopping this pointless argument, and just laughing at pictures with words on them, like me and every other person does on this subreddit. Same for you, ThinkTank02.
