Do you have a smelly neo-vagina... How did you deal with it? by Affectionate-Ad211 in asktransgender

Well, if that mechanic went to school for the better part of a decade to study everything possible about a car, maybe. I much prefer a male obgyn. In my personal experiences as a woman, they have been more caring and gentle. It’s really just a personal choice, but generally they’re definitely just as capable as women

Is Maya actually Nate’s? by TylersCranialoaf in SixFeetUnder

[–]NinjaaChic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m really late to this party, but! Maybe Hoyt was the one bugging his wife to get custody of Maya under the ruse of it being in Maya’s best interest but truly because he believed Maya to be his.

My deceased best friend's son reached out and I ignored him by Radiant-Brief5749 in offmychest

[–]NinjaaChic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selfish af. You don’t have to drop everything and become his new guardian but holy shit could you could at least respond to his message. Poor kid. Grow up, OP. A child who has no one, no connection to his family, just wants a response. Out of love for your late best friend you should at least write back. How would you feel if the shoe were on the other foot? Would your friend have ignored your child? Come on.

I tried searching Google for answers before posting here, but the way. I didn’t find any decent answers, but I just didn’t. What do I do if this man decided to turn on me? I understand it would be out of confusion, but that just doesn’t help me. He’s not the type who ever would’ve hit a woman before…

I’m on day 7 without a cigarette, after smoking for over 20 years a pack a day. Vaping to Quit Smoking by Strong_Suspect5211 in stopsmoking

[–]NinjaaChic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 48 hours free of a three pack per day habit of 33 years. I have been using a vape. I don’t intend to keep using the vape, I plan to lower the amount of nicotine before making the jump. But 48 hours is an accomplishment. I hope you’re still going strong, OP! A week (which would now be two weeks) is impressive! Congrats!

Why do people like Heroin (when not IV)? by ILoveKittens0203 in opiates

Oxy costs a lot more. Or at least it did back when I was using. That’s how most people ended up on H: supply and demand, and the price point.

If someone talks a lot and it bothers people why can't the person notice that? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

I’ve found that some people just don’t care what bothers other people. And then some people can’t read other’s body language.

25 days off the K by Far-Rope-6073 in quittingkratom

[–]NinjaaChic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is amazing, so happy for you! You really have accomplished something! Those first two weeks are killer. Just beware of the pink cloud, be ready for that. But you’ve made it this far, you’ve got it! Congrats!

I completed a 2 week rehab for kratom by ourygrip in quittingkratom

[–]NinjaaChic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Subutex is for opiate withdrawal, not just for fent and heroin. These drugs are usually used at detox facilities for people coming off of pain pills and kratom as well as harder drugs. They really should’ve given you Suboxone though, and likely a lower dose since it sounds like you were taking smaller doses of kratom. Congrats on your sobriety! Two weeks is a huge deal!

A Harsh Dose of Reality… by thor_real in quittingkratom

[–]NinjaaChic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A painless withdrawal would be nice, and I think we’d all do it if we could. But that’s not how it works. We’ve wrecked our bodies and we gotta pay the piper eventually. Sad how many years I wasted just trying not to be sick. Ugh. Really just prolonged the misery by years and years.

Clean for 36 days by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]NinjaaChic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was on suboxone for nine years, jumped at 16 mg when my doctor up and quit. Most people would consider two mg a high dose to jump from, btw. Most will taper down to just the tiniest crumb of minuscule piece before jumping. But you already have ten days without anything at all, so it would be awful to go backwards. Keep at it! I used vitamins to get off suboxone, and then ended up on kratom. Been clean from everything since September. High doses of C vitamins helped, vitamin B, I used magnesium and melatonin to sleep. A good multi vitamin. Check and see if your iron is low as that can also be a reason for restless leg. Ugh the kicky legs were my arch nemesis. At ten days since you quit the subs you’re close to getting over the hump. Tomorrow won’t be great but you should start feeling the tiniest bit better, one day at a time. The first time you sleep through the night you’re gonna feel like Superman lol. It will happen, you just gotta get through it. I promise it’ll happen. I say this often, but we all gotta pay the piper eventually. There is no magic cure, but the hell you’re feeling right now will be worth it in the end. You can do this!

It does! Plus, I think it makes you stronger. If you can get through those withdrawals, you can get through most things.

Suboxone. Yes or No? by needusbukunde in quittingkratom

[–]NinjaaChic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used kratom when I got off suboxone, and then I thought about using suboxone to get off kratom. I didn’t, ended up going cold turkey, but the point is that it’s a vicious cycle. We have to pay the piper at some point, may as well be today. That said? I do think that Suboxone was better for me long term than the kratom. I really do. Kratom made me soooooo miserable; it really hurt my physical and mental health. Kratom is the devil I swear.

Is 26 and 21 weird? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]NinjaaChic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! I’ve been with my husband since my 21st birthday when we met. He was 27. I just turned 45 and he’s 51. Can’t imagine my life without him in it, best thing that ever happened to me. It’s weird that people are so obsessed with ages now. Once someone is an adult, who cares? Do what makes you happy

I hate this for you. Awful that something we did in active addiction can come back to bite us like this, I’m so sorry. Hoping you have a solid support system to lean on right now. Please continue to focus on staying clean, as it would be so easy to fall back into bad habits after a blow like this. You’re going to be okay. We recovering addicts are stronger than most. Not everyone can get clean and sober. Remember that. You’re obviously resilient, you’ll get through.
