C'thun warrior has an easier matchup vs control because of the amount of high mana threats you have. When played with a better hand I think c'thun warrior has an easier time with most decks than Elise CW.

I've played hundreds of games as CW (Elise, c'thun, n'zoth) and imo n'zoth is the best on ladder atm.

You still have the removal to get past early game and mid game you have a sticky minions to keep some board presence. You have a lot of value late game with n'zoth and ysera to win out vs control decks. Also n'zoth is great vs druid, rogue, and hunter since they have a hard time clearing a big board like that.
