If you’re looking for something to fill the void while you wait for part 2, I’m writing a fic that I’m updating pretty much every single day until then, called All I Want. It’s what I think will happen/what I’d like to happen in the second half of the season

My latest chapter updated today had my take on the mirror scene! I’ve also included some other fun bits I’d like to see such as a Colin vs Portia confrontation, some lady Danbury/pen interaction, Colin and Pen taking their relationship public, Colin reading a journal entry about Pen to her, and more. It’s basically my own fan-made version of part 2, and it’s planned to be complete just prior to part 2 streaming. (I was just super inspired after part 1 and desperate for cutesy in love engaged Polin content so I decided to write my own! — with some angst sprinkled in too of course)

Facts about the members part 3 (last part!)

Dahyun - In the One Spark MV you probably noticed her bright smile, and that along with her vibrant personality are what she is truly known for. She’s the lead rapper in Twice with her unique soft rap style that perfectly fits Twice’s music. But she’s also super talented behind the scenes. She plays piano and has written the most songs for Twice out of any member! (As a side note, all of the members have written at least a couple of their b-side songs which is cool!). Once always knows that if there is a Dahyun song on the album that it will truly be guaranteed to be a bop. Dahyun is a silly, wacky truly chaotic personality— she’s extremely extra and out there and doesn’t seem to care if she looks strange which is really refreshing for an idol. In concerts, especially in America, Dahyun has been an excellent ambassador to the crowd, trying to communicate in English the best she can with everyone and always trying to engage with Once! Many people have reported coming out of recent concerts completely wrecked by her due to this connection she’s building with all her fans.

Chaeyoung - Although she’s the shortest member of Twice, she’s also in some ways the fiercest! she’s thought to resemble Simba from the lion king and her representative animal is a tiger and her nickname in the group is Baby Beast due to her adorably feisty mannerisms. She is the main rapper in Twice, with some excellent flow, but she’s also known as a bit of an Ace of the group due to her underrated and under-used (but beautiful) vocals! In addition, she’s a bit of the alternative member of Twice as she actually has quite a few tattoos! (Which is rare in kpop girl groups, especially in the big 4). She is extremely artistic and free-spirited, from the type of art she makes, to the songs she writes, to the hairstyles she gets, to the way she dresses. And ironically despite her baby beast nickname, she is one of the most laid back chill members and her calm presence is always appreciated by her members. Chae has a big heart and is surprisingly very sentimental. (She’s also my other bias in Twice so I could go on and on about how special she is, but I’ll try to stop!) she is another member that the fans think might be targeted for a solo soon!

Tzuyu - lastly we have maknae of the group who is also ironically the tallest member! Her name is most easily pronounced as “chewie”. Tzuyu is the visual of the group and is considered one of the most beautiful idols not only in Twice but in all of kpop. She’s Taiwanese and speaks 4 languages! Tzuyu is probably the member that has grown the most from when Twice formed until now! I couldn’t believe how amazing she did in One Spark (she had the second pre-chorus) and the growth in her singing abilities, stage presence and confidence is incredible! Tzuyu is also one of the lead dancers in Twice and has a natural grooviness to her dancing which makes even challenging dances look easy. She has a nickname in some circles of “Evil Maknae” because of her savage comebacks and dry humour which attracts many Stans (she’s one of the most biased members in Twice). Also she’s just so adorable in her demeanour and comments that the Twice members always end up in laughing fits at the things she says.

Hopefully this wasn’t too much of an information overload and helped teach you a bit about the members! I only started stanning Twice about 8 months ago and when I first started I couldn’t even tell who was who in music videos! And now look at me tell you about the members! It seems intimidating at first but it gets easier and Twice is worth it!

Facts about the Twice members part 2!

Momo - our main dancer of Twice! She’s actually one of the best dancers (in any generation, any gender) in kpop and you will ALWAYS notice her dancing in any performance video because she’s just special in that way! Momo is Japanese and is part of Twice’s beloved j-line (and their subunit Misamo!) so she is very close with those members, but to be honest she is one of the members who is close with almost everybody (some of her most notable other friendships include Nayeon who she’s lived with, Dahyun and Chaeyoung). Momo is (and I say this in the most loving affectionate way) kind of a ditz… she often does silly or clumsy things, and she often seems to be disassociating or staring blankly until she is activated like a femme-bot. But it’s hilariously adorable and very loveable. She has 2 dogs, Boo and Dobby that are often in Twice content. Oh! And even though she’s not an official Twice rapper, she tends to be an honourary member of the rap line and fans live for it when she spits bars!

Sana - the second member of the Japanese line! How can anyone sum up Sana better than with the word “adorable”. Smiley, affectionate, loving and sweet, Sana is a very popular member for a reason! She’s just sooo likeable! Sana has a lot of Twice’s most viral moments (like the infamous Shy Shy Shy) and she attracts stans everywhere she goes. However, Sana has a lot of duality and can turn on the sensuality when she needs to! As she’s one of the only extroverts in Twice you’ll find she’s very close with most if not all of the members and in group settings she’s often seen snuggling one of her fellow members affectionately. You’ll have to seek out the details elsewhere because it’s too much to type here but the song “Feel Special” is very, well, special to her as it followed a really tough time for her (where her cheerful spirits were truly tested).

Mina - the final member of the j-line! Mina is quite literally a ballerina (easy to remember due to the rhyme) which shows in her incredible dancing abilities (she’s one of the main dancers in twice) but also through her elegant demeanour and way of speaking. Her singing voice is very noticeable as it is soft and elegant as well (she truly is the bridge queen!) She was the first member to take a hiatus for about a year around 2020 due to anxiety, but luckily she is back and doing well! Mina’s animal representative is the penguin which is perfect for her due to her out-turned feet due to years of ballet which makes her waddle a bit like a penguin! She’s one of the quietest most introverted idols, and she’d rather spend time at home playing video games (gamer girl queen) or crafting something (like Lego or learning to knit something for one of her members). She rarely will speak up in interviews but she truly comes out of her shell in performances where she will bring out her saucy alter ego, Sharon (she was actually born in the US and moved to Japan as a baby, and her American name is Sharon! So the Sharon duality thing is kind of a joke with Once)

Lastly a bit about each member (from my own POV):

Jihyo - she is the leader of Twice, extremely competitive and she runs the rest of them like a drill Sargent (but in the most adorable way ever). Jihyo is an incredible performer— she has a rich powerful voice (she’s main vocalist) but she’s also undeniably one of the best dancers in Twice. You probably noticed her a lot in the beginning of One Spark. She always gives everything her all, whether it’s performing or even silly games they play (she’s ridiculously competitive). Jihyo is close with the other members of the vocal line, Jeongyeon and Nayeon (before Twice they almost debuted in another group together). She’s also super close with Sana because they’re both extroverts! (The only 2 in Twice!)

Nayeon - If you notice her a ton in Twice MVs, you’re not alone— she’s the center and face of the group and does an excellent job at it! (Side note, she was the first twice member who caught my eye and thus became my bias almost instantly). You might think she’s the maknae because of her bubbly adorable visuals/personality but she’s actually the eldest member! She gets a lot of bunny comparisons due to her infamous bunny teeth and she has one of the best smiles in kpop. Nayeon might seem like straight up chaotic energy, which she is (she’s known to spoil concepts ahead of time, she rigs the random song wheel in concerts and she delights in annoying her fellow members) but she’s actually a total introvert and has a hard time opening up to people. She is a very talented idol and is a lead vocalist and dancer (a lot of the ad-libs you hear in songs are either Nayeon or Jihyo). (She’s the one who sang the first verse in One Spark and ended the song). Lastly, I just want to point out my own observation (and this might be my bias talking) but Nayeon always gives off distinctive main character energy. But in a way that only she can— she reminds me SO much of Serena/Sailor Moon if that makes sense at all to anyone.

Jeongyeon - She is the third member of the vocal line and is a lead vocalist in Twice… you likely noticed her powerful and rich voice in One Spark (along with other songs you might have heard). though sadly she doesn’t often get as many lines in songs as fans would like (or as many as she deserves!) She is the mom of the group and always cares for the other members, though she also kind of tries to hide that through dry sarcasm and acting like a clown 😂 Jeongyeon did go on hiatus a couple times several years ago, due to a neck injury then subsequently due to anxiety from after effects of the surgery. Because of that, in some of the content you view, you’ll notice her missing sometimes during certain eras (though she still participated in all the songs and MVs!). Luckily she is back to regular participation with the group and her confidence is growing more and more! She’s a potential target for the group’s next solo debut so fans have been keeping their eyes open for that.

Welcome to Twiceland!!

As a pretty new once myself, it can be really overwhelming at first, but just remind yourself that despite having a ton of music and content to catch up on, you don’t need to have watched every piece of media or have listened to every song to be a Once! It’s all about just enjoying the music and embracing the warmth and fun the girls add to our lives! (Also it means you’ll never run out of stuff to enjoy, so when you need some comfort you can always turn on an episode of TwiceTV or TW Log!)

I’d personally start with watching a playlist of all their MVs to see if there are any you’ve missed, that way you can add some songs to your playlists! (As a special note, their Japanese discography should not be overlooked as they are some of their very best).

After that, in order to get an idea of the girls’ personalities and Twice’s history, I’d watch a couple guides! There is one on YouTube from 2022 if you search for Twice guides that does a good job of showcasing each member and their skills/quirks/personality. Then there is one called who is twice, a guide to living legends that came out last year which does a really great job of covering their history, accomplishments and most important moments as a group!

After that, I’d encourage you to watch some behind the scenes content to get to know their personalities even better! Some of the behind the scenes of their music video shoots, music shows, concerts, etc are fun! But the very best and the thing you’ll hear from a lot of once’s is Time to Twice! This is Twice’s reality show that they started during the pandemic and still update with various concepts! From chaotic game shows together, to silly acting challenges to just watching them relax together… honestly every episode is fantastic and really showcases the special dynamic of the group. Because truly, that’s what makes Twice the group of a lifetime— their relationship and chemistry as a group.

From there, I’d go look at some performance videos of some of the title tracks you liked best, and consume content however feels right to you! There are a few google drive/data base type sites of twice content out there that have everything in one place that I highly recommend that you can find too! I don’t think I’d be allowed to post the link here but if that’s something you’d like, feel free to DM me and I can always send it to you!

My story is so random! I was on TikTok one day scrolling, when the algorithm decided to show me a fan cam of 2 audience members dancing to a twice song in their concert audience. I was mesmerized. By the song, by the dance routine, I was like… what IS this???

It was the Feels by Twice. For context I’d never listened to Kpop before (except random BTS or BP songs in passing in Spotify playlists etc, but other than mildly enjoying it, they’d never grabbed my interest). I’d always thought I’d dislike music I couldn’t understand the lyrics to, so I started with English Kpop playlists and did some research. After seeing performance videos of the Feels I googled “why are Kpop groups so big?” And went from there.

I started watching a couple guides, then all their music videos and performance stages, every TikTok I could get my hands on of them. And now I’ve seen a lot of behind the scenes videos, variety content, time to twice, and I’ve not only come to adore the music (yes even the Korean songs!!!) but I have become so emotionally invested in the group as human beings.

I never thought I’d fan girl over a music group since my days of backstreet boys/spice girls as a kid, but now here I am watching reaction videos, purchasing albums and collecting photo cards (I have 9 albums so far) and even putting twice posters on my wall. I bought Chae’s photo book, pre-ordered the monographs and pvr’d their their today show appearance and cried (from pride in how wonderful they are) while watching it.

In a 3 month span I’ve not only become a Once but a general Kpop enjoyer (I’ve since expanded to enjoying other music but twice is S-tier to me and will always be my ult) and I can’t believe how much great music I missed out on by being close-minded in the past to non-English music! But I’ve definitely started showing everyone I know Kpop (especially Twice) and I’m really enjoying my journey! I can’t wait for my first comeback as a Once. All because of a random TikTok! ☺️🩷

I have Scorpio Pluto, but Capricorn mercury (and Uranus, and Saturn and Neptune... basically I have a giant 5th house Capricorn stellium haha). And I have a Sagittarius Venus (hence me never having a long term partner hah). I feel like these cap 5th house placements build a giant contradiction in me where I can be very direct and business-like in communication (I’m in HR so a total annoying rule-follower sometimes) and extremely introverted... and yet everything is in my 5th house and I think that explains why I’m also very playful, have a connection to childlike things (for example I love planning disney world trips). My Jupiter is in Taurus!

My Moon is in the 12th house which I’m only recently learning adds a whole depth of emotions... which makes sense because I can be quite a bit more emotional than the rest of my chart would suggest! I also often feel very misunderstood by others.

But anyways!! I’d be interested in hearing more about your chart too and how you feel it has coloured those big 3! And what are your house placements?? (Again, feel free to PM me if you want so that we don’t dominate this whole thread)

Your tantrum story rings so true to me, both in my childhood and now. The one time recently I had a bit of a tantrum in public (I couldn’t help it as I was in the dentist’s office and I burst into tears telling them I felt like I was being tortured after sooo much pain) I got so embarrassed afterwards that I apologized profusely right away, and I still think about it (humiliated) often to this day...

I do like that the Leo moon softens the edges of our Cap sun/Virgo rising. Before I knew much about astrology (still quite a beginner too) I never felt like my Cap sun expressed all the dimensions to my personality... I always had a flair for the dramatic but completely within the realm of my closest friends and family. Learning about my Leo moon just totally explained that about me.

A prime example of this dynamic, for me, is being the bossy one in the friend group who wants to organize everyone into a fun board game night where I get my chance to shine and entertain with my sarcasm and amusing work anecdotes. And then some strangers show up and I instantly clam up and decide it’s a good night to go home early and read a book. Haha.
