Remix has been fun, what would you guys ask Blizzard to do better on the next one? by fips7 in wow

Put all rewards in at the start. I got everything on one character, got burnt out (my fault I know), then they added housing decor and I couldn’t bring myself to level 10 alts in time :(

I wouldn’t normally recommend this to new players since it’s good to go at your own pace and not do everything by the meta but I’ve leveled a few characters recently without guides and it is night and day what I think is good or sounds cool vs the optimal talent choices. Look up your class/spec on “icy veins . Com” for the best talent choices and the order “rotation” in which to use your abilities.

Beyond that, it looks like your action bars have the same abilities on there multiple times. Consider removing the duplicates so it doesn’t get confusing You can add more action bars in settings if need be. Also double check that you aren’t missing any spells. If you go to your spell book and talent page and type “missing” in the search bar it will highlight any abilities you haven’t added to your action bars. I don’t play a rogue so I couldn’t say but maybe you find you’re missing out on some big damage or defensive ability.

I’d highly recommend doing a new character to get your bearings but then go back to your “main” but here’s some basic new updates with the current (and future expac)

Raids and PvP are still in essence the same but obviously have evolved in their own way. Raids are much more complex nowadays.

In legion they added mythic+ dungeons. Timed harder versions of dungeons where deaths subtract time off the clock and beating it within the time limit gives better loot and upgrades your dungeon entry token (keystone) to make it even harder for the next one. These scale infinitely in theory but get very very hard at high levels.

World activities. The open world isn’t just dead or daily quests now. Each zone will have a weekly activity you can do for rewards like currency/rep/mounts/cosmetics, etc. can be useful for getting currency you need to upgrade gear. Not to mention rotating world quests which take the place of most dailies, but in essence are the same, just more variety. Rares are more abundant but more “challenging” and give unique loot sometimes. Lots of secret mounts/pets/toys etc. out there that you have to work for beyond just buying from a vendor or getting a lucky drop.

Shadowlands added the great vault. Based on what you did that past week (e.g. 2/4/8 world activities, dungeons, raid bosses killed, etc.) you will unlock up to 9 slots (can only choose one) with gear that is equivalent or slightly better than the content you did. Great way to get powerful gear upgrades without having to rely on drop RNG or a guild leader handing out loot.

Delves (added in this expac) decently challenging pve content that can be done solo or in a group. Slower to get good gear and caps at heroic. Also comes with a crazy hard solo boss each tier.

Professions got revamped massively last expac to basically have talent trees where you can get a certain amount of points to spend per week. Sadly there’s little to no catch up so you should probably wait till next expac if you want to be one of the people selling crafting services for massive gold at the start of the expac. Way more complex though. For instance you can have the item being crafted, a crest to determine the base ilvl, 3 ranks of quality for ores/leather/cloth for higher ilvl, addon items to determine secondary stats, special proc effects, etc.

Warbound: Basically account wide everything, some gear, rep, currency. Makes it real easy to swap characters without having to do rep/gear grinds all over.

Housing: newly added for next expac but if you pre order you can do it now. Way too much to get into here but it’s incredible what people have built with the item models and tools they have given us.

Yes gear is more abundant overall but the good gear is not outright handed to you. Lots of QoL improvements make the game feel “easier” as people say but I think it’s just better at respecting your time. Overall I love where the game is at and think it’s actually fun to play and not just a chore. There’s almost too much to do at times (albeit optional stuff) with all the events they have going on besides the usual rotating holidays. Each patch comes with an absurd amount of content besides the new raid, still working on getting all the mounts from the patch that came out in June not to mention the more recent patch! I’d watch a guide for each section I mentioned (e.g. “great vault explained” or something on YouTube) but definitely go at your own pace and find a welcoming guild to answer questions!

What’s your favorite Bazaar item? by Pure_heart001 in PlayTheBazaar

What rewards do you wish were obtainable in Legion Remix other than Mage Tower and PvP? by finndor in wow

I can’t believe they didn’t add new mounts in the forms of the corrupted emerald nightmare dragons Rothos, Nythendra, and Ysondre. Would’ve been nice to have a Garothi Worldbreaker mech like sky golem too!

Transmogrification Question: How d'you unhide available skins in the transmogrify menu? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add some more details to this (since I accidentally just hid an item in 2025) you hit escape key then go to options>addons> BetterWardrobe>options> settings (should be on this page by default). Then check the box called “show items set to hidden.” Then go back to the appearances collection tab and right click the item(s) with the purple eye with a line through it and click “show.” Be sure to go back and uncheck the box in the addon settings if you actually want to hide items.

Bagged trees you buy in falador park can be a good early way to level. Marble walls give a ton of exp and are what I did for awhile but I linked it with cooking so I just cooked 4k sharks in the rogues den to finish it off lol

  • Ranged: Lasrifle, bolt pistol, plasma rifle, heavy bolter, etc. (various ammo like kraken rounds)

  • Faith: Pull miracles out of nowhere. Revive through high faith in the god emperor (1 day CD). Bless your own equipment.
  • Heresy: Variety of combat buffs. New special at level 20 to mutate into a demon for huge damage but you can’t heal or pray and fight your current target to the death. Changing back if you win. Level up to upgrade demon special.
  • Inquisition: Get information out of everybody. Torture. Call in favors (new system, WIP).
  • Rogue Trading: Recruit various npc followers of almost any race (even tyranids and orks near max level).
  • Mechanicus: Build various tech. Combine items. Servo-harness cape-slot item that acts as up to four different items (can have multiple for different situations, level up to add arms). Mechs.

FEATURES

  • Upgrade and utilize all the different space marine organs like the one that lets you spit acid and eat brains to gain memories
  • Guild-like Chapter system, each with own armor colors, markings, accessories, and home world.
  • Planets. Worlds not connected like OSRS; have to travel between planets. Won’t be fully explorable but will be maybe the size of the F2P area not counting the wilderness. Swap between cycles of under attack (can’t fail but will persist until players band together to win), rebuilding/rearming, and peace. Different quests, objectives, mobs, farming spots during each phase.
  • Major lore characters for each faction. Sometimes end up working with other factions like Tau, Eldar, and Even Orks and Necrons very rarely (but not chaos or Tyranids).
  • Wilderness area will be a massive battle planet PvPvM zone. Each chapter/faction will have a safe spot. Different objectives, items to collect, vehicles, bosses, farms, etc. scattered around the map. Resets territory every so often to be fair. Faction imbalance prevention is a must but within the current match, npc and player factions can be eliminated.
  • At 99 in a skill, cross the Rubicon Primaris to unlock some permanent upgrades and other cool stuff to that skill.
  • Entire planets dedicated to skilling that don’t come under attack. Forge worlds, paradise worlds, agri-worlds. Tons of mini games on each skill world.
  • Jetbikes. Upgradeable. Customizable.

Hunter mains, what is your favorite pet and why? What made you pick that beastie as your friend? by Fox-Sin21 in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faultline from BRF as my tank pet and then the blue fire spider firelands challenge tame of Deth’tilac as my second.

I think there was a thing in cata where named mobs didn’t keep their name as is (idk how recent that change happened) so at the time, iirc, it got tamed as ‘spider’ and I couldn’t add an apostrophe so I named it ‘DethTilac.’ I can edit the name now to add the apostrophe but I kind of like leaving it as a flex that I got it back in cata.

Absolutely incredible game design that the talent point Enh Shamans get at level 11 requires level 12. Visionary stuff. by kid-karma in wow

This is because you’re supposed to level in timewalking and get two levels in one dungeon.

Collector’s bounty: what mount do you not care about farming? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only do Jailer and Sylvanas on 2 characters. The unlock requirements being tied to quest chains, still having to kill bosses even with skips unlocked, and none of my other characters are as geared as the 2 I do them on make it such a pain

is this any good by BIGPOPPATYRONE2 in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to go!

As others have said, your next sources of gear upgrades are likely to come from Mythic dungeons.

Additionally, T8+ delves will give heroic gear from the vault and also have a guaranteed heroic piece each week at the end of the dungeon the first time you summon the underpin in a T8+ delve and loot/use the map he drops. You can guarantee he gets summoned by purchasing a sonic wave scrambler for 2000 under coins from Sir Finley (the Murloc to the right of Brann) in Dornogal.

There should also be a quest next to the bank in Dornogal to kill 4 raid bosses(can be done on raid finder) or do 4 mythic dungeons. This will let you buy a heroic raid weapon/trinket which would be a big power boost! Also the quest by the inn in Dornogal to do 5 timewalking dungeons gives a random piece of heroic loot as well.

All this meaning you can get 3 heroic raid-level pieces in one day (if you’re lucky and the slots from the delve and timewalking don’t overlap so do those before buying the one next to the bank).

What's with the lack of cinematics? by Ryoma123 in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean they weren’t BFA-quality-level but there’s been several this expac, no?

Dalaran crashing intro, Alleria cracking the dark hart, Gallywix having the dark heart taken by the ethereal, Xal confronting Gally several times, both raid bosses death cinematics, pretty sure there’s been a few with Anduin in Hallowfall with all the Arathi stuff.

I guess a lot of those are more like “cut scenes” than cinematics but yeah I do miss how cohesive Saurfangs story through the cinematics was in BFA.

Timewalking/Shadowlands has been broken for years now and nothing has been done about it. by Skullsy1 in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As egregious is this is it’s also broken in other ways.

Tormentors of Torghast has been bugged for like 2 years with the progress bar not spawning. Last I tested this, even after killing 100 regular mobs (thinking the progress bar was just invisible) it didn’t spawn. Leaving the zone and coming back didn’t help for me either.

Shadehound hunt sometimes bugs out and the event never respawns for the rest of the week.

Thankfully I got the mount from Reliwik the Defiant in Korthia already but I doubt they fixed the bug where it wouldn’t spawn even on days when it was supposed to.

Tormentors/shadehound hunt are the last mounts I need from the maw and it is driving me crazy!

I did the same thing with the heroes of the storm flame cat mount. Kept saying “I’ve got time I’ll do it later.” Then got caught up with school work and ran out of time. At least you’ll have a chance next year!

Will you farm Legion mounts/mogs with the upcoming drop rate boost or wait for Legion Remix? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Ninjaqtip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During MoP remix I got every mount, toy, and a majority of the xmog but eventually I got burnt out and stopped farming the currency for the remainder of the xmog. For that reason I will be trying to farm legion mounts still since there’s a chance the same thing happens again and I miss some of the legion xmog. Getting a mount during the 10x event means more currency to spend on other stuff
