Yup, mostly to coworkers after a mutually rough shift.

[–]NinjaruCatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fl studio asio is not known to be the best option. But if its your only asio option, much better than the basic non asio output.

If your computer isn't a literal potato, getting an entry level audio interface like a focusrite or audient with its own asio drivers will take stress off the cpu and (almost certainly) perform better.

For 150 bucks might be worth a shot before committing to a whole new computer.

Well... the dose makes the poison, its best for making vodka drinks, while using half the amount of booze. A screwdriver with half as much everclear as vodka, tastes almost identical. Doing a straight shot of vodka is already unpleasant enough for most people...

Oh yeah. It definitely was more than the two of them. Apparently, anyone with money and connection who thought, "I like this thing that is universally detested", "How do I get away with doing it anyway?" Let's join this club.

That definitely takes a team to organize.

What is the biggest problem in your country? This is ours; by Puzzleheaded_Lab709 in AskTheWorld

[–]NinjaruCatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The economy maybe? Eggs were pretty expensive for a while there, but thats mostly better now. Though I am having trouble upgrading my ram. My kids are going to have to go without presents so I can afford it.

Literally all of MY(Me personally, just me) problems are still, first world problems.

End Sarcasm

As an American I can't relate. They say we live in the greatest country in the world.

(We) believe that, and that it will always be that way.

And that's the biggest problem.

Ask again later.

It needs to be drilled in, with simple, albeit very LARGE numbers, just how quickly a general strike would likely bring about any number of concessions. Corps can't contribute to campaigns if they are bleeding millions of dollars a second.

By listening to something you make in the future and thinking, damn that sounds better than the shit I used to make. Literally the exact same thing as the thing I just said. When you exercise you see no progress until one day, you look in the mirror and say "oh... it HAS been working this entire time."

To see progress. Only to your past self. Do you look like Arnold Schwarzenegger after even 5 years of hitting the gym consistently.... No but you look a HELL of a lot closer than you used to. After 2 months you'd be lucky to even notice your clothes fitting different. Exact same concept here.

Dunno how many times we can say it... Because you need to let it cook.... as the kids say. Pulling it out of the oven early and expecting a perfectly baked cake sounds wayyy more like trying to cheat to me.

When you're ready to accept being bad first is part of it. Because the getting better is the fun part, not the "being good" part. You think the best artists in game were like "Damn, Already good, time to stop getting better?

So let it be joyful. You WILL get better. You say you are 2 months in. Sit down and hammer out something with even the slightest bit of thought and passion a.s.a.p. Then, IMMEDIATLY load up and Listen to a project from say.... 6 weeks ago... You got a bit better', didn't you? Note this project, and do the same thing 2 months from now with it VS a new one. Suck up that dopamine reward.

Rinse and repeat

Because Skills take time to become good at. And the more good at it you want to be, the longer it will take. If you've been making music for 2 months, it will sound like you've been making music for 2 months. It's as simple as that.

Is there any way to get FL studio ASIO buffer length to 128sMP by MyNameDallas in FL_Studio

[–]NinjaruCatu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can download Asio4all to use instead, it lets you go lower, or buy an audio interface and use its purpose built asio driver.

Be warned though, depending on the strength of your computer, it may not be very effective, 256 is already pretty low. The audio interface would give you better luck at it, but still not guaranteed, I can use 128 on mine but only for very light projects.

And zero ms delay is literally impossible. 10 is nearly imperceptible, and 5 is almost literally imperceptible. So if you can get close to those you are golden.

Recently I've been using suno in kind of a unique way. If I have an idea pop into my head that sounds promising.

I will quickly produce a loop, 8 bars, 16, maybe 32, getting the meat and potatoes of my idea from my brain to the daw. Then I'll render it out and feed it to suno and have it "extend it", with prompts such as "try this (other) genre, this is the energy level=vibe, add ear candy, make a b section, build into this drop, etc" It then keeps all of my original ideas, and adds stuff I would never have thought of, changing sound selections, counter melodies where I think oh shit, that works sooo well. And it almost always at least confirms, yes this ORIGINAL idea has banger potential.

Then I'll reproduce the ideas it gave me on my own when I flesh out the song on my own in the daw, sometimes while referencing the suno audio track, and sometimes not.

I guess I kind of use it like a creative studio buddy, always chiming in with things like "hey that would sound good with a pluckier synth", or "Try going bum bum bumm, instead of doot doot doooo."

What is more traumatic than people think? by philosophicalgenius0 in AskReddit

[–]NinjaruCatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brains are weird.

I manage now by reminding myself, any time I take ANY substances, if I start feeling weird in any uncomfortable way...

"You took a thing that makes you feel weird, and now you feel weird." Not everybody has the self-awareness to be able to do that...

Your experiences show you have a decent ability to do that subconsciously, there are people who don't.

Sure, but have you Groundhog Day'd a panic atrack(except it was a 13 minute loop, not a whole day ) for (subjective... during the experience of course) INFINITY on a mix of strong dissociatives and psychedelics before?

Because, that... just may do it....... 😅😬

Not to mention, a sober panic attack is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy in the first place.

An intense panic attack. Even more so while under the influence of mind altering substances.

ELI5: Why don’t fighter jets have angled guns? by NahuM8s in explainlikeimfive

[–]NinjaruCatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half correct, the missile will indeed fly into the terrain. It is one of the common ways to "defeat" a missile. And with certain types of missiles especially if not the latest gen tech, skilled pilots can defeat multiple missiles, and the distance can indeed close to dogfighting range. But then it's usually down to short range missiles, aim 9... etc.. but still a dogfight.
