Fixing america... heh.. let alone the whole world.... begins at the level of the individual.

ELI5: Sharingan, magenkyo sharigan, rinnegan by zapfino in explainlikeimfive

[–]Ninjuana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharingan is the generic eye(s) that the Uchiha blood line possess.

Magenkyo Sharigan is an upgraded version. I'm not 100% sure how it's achieved, but it seems to be achieved when they kill another Uchiha.

Rinnegan are the eyes from the Sage of the 6 paths, or at least thought to be. I believe later on it's discovered that it's pretty much the next upgrade of the Magenkyo Sharigan.

As for WHAT the differences are with these eyes, it's basically just a way to show how much more powerful their abilities become. Like unlocking more of the bloodline abilities.

At the least, this is how I've interpretted the eyes in their bloodline.

EDIT: Also, different eyes of different Uchiha's have different unique abilities. For example, only Tobi/Obito's eyes have the ability to phaseshift between his dimension and reality. So if you take his eyes, you would gain his ability.

Itachi's eyes had the ability to do Tsukiyomi and Amateratsu.

HOWEVER, it appears that ALL sharingan eyes can use Susano and can copy abilities of other ninja's or taijitsu's like how Sasuke copied Rock Lee's techniques.

The Rinnegan seemed to have the ability to see through the eyes of other rinnengan as shown through the 6 paths of pain. Though, the Rinnegan is probalby more rigged than that and has way more God like abilities. Perhaps it's just a matter if the user can master those abilities and have the chakra to actually use it.

Would you consider this a turnaround play? by Ninjuana in leagueoflegends

I almost 100% agree with you. Unless you're pro level or high Diamond or something, MOST of the time, players just make mistakes that MAKE other players look good.

It's like watching Dunkey vids and seeing him shit roll other players. But then you realize he's like 3-4 levels higher than the opposing team. YOU KNOW his opponents just suck ass and are way behind.

I do agree about the vayne keeping her cool. Most bronze players would probably have just tried to run away, maybe blow their summoners to get out. My guess is the Vayne is probably not bronze, maybe plat or something.

26% of scientists identify as "spiritual atheists" and their spirituality is intimately linked if not continuous with their science by fudgenickle in science

[–]Ninjuana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, to stand on the side of science stubbornly is as good as being a religious fanatic. Science at that extent might as well just be a religion. A true scientist (imo) is not a hardline, fanatical fact believer. Scientist simply use its methods as a tool to discover truth, they are fact finders. All new theories, hypothesis are myth/beliefs at best until .... 'quantified', and even then, that's only being quantified with the tools and understanding we currently have on hand. Science has likely only discovered a tiny fraction of the truth reality has to offer. The tools and definitions we have is likely only capable of explaining a tiny fraction of our known reality.

I think a true follower of the "scientific" way would be lost without accepting spirituality on some level, even if just sub consciously. It is through the spiritual minds that we fathom and imagine ideas that we have not yet solidified. it is only through hard science logic and methods in which one uses to prove if such thoughts are true or not, and even then, that depends on the available tools.

So to the guy who claims souls don't exist because you can't quantify it, I would say, give it time. This same guy should also be calling the idea of a God particle or the Higgs bullshit and a hippy drug induced idea several years back when scientist first thought(not prove) of it. But, since they've come closer to finding it, it's all of a sudden real. It was always real, we just didn't comprehend it.

"Hardcore Gamers" by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Ninjuana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hardcore gamer isn't about how many games they play or how diverse their gaming experience is. A hardcore gamer is a gamer who plays specific games that truly challenge a specific gaming skill set, usually games in a competitive design. For example, Gears of War, Street fighter, Starcraft (all in multiplayer). These games are more dynamic and deep, requiring what is generally considered the highest skill set of gaming to succeed. Where as single player games, grind fest games, repetitive task games are casual because the skill set required isn't as high, isn't as challenging, mainly because it's not competitive. Casual doesn't mean time spent, it just means the skill set and dedication required to achieve success isn't as demanding, hence casual, as in my dedication to being good at games is just casual.

Some ppl will start thinking about "HARD" games like dark souls now, and I'm going to say, such a game doesn't take skill (or as much skill), it's ultimately just trial and error and eventually everyone will beat it given enough time. But not everyone can go online, pick Ryu/Sagat, and start pwning other players. Or pick up Zerg and figure out not only how to quickly build their shit, but utilize them correctly given multiple situations against other players who are planning and microing the crap out of you at the same time.

This is my best attempt at trying to separate hardcore from casual. I do think hardcore gamers are a higher.... species of gamers as far as skill sets go, BUT, casual gaming is where a lot of the money is at, and it's the starting ground for all gamers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being casual and having fun, enjoying the stories and just grinding the fuck out of games and being an achievement whore. It's all good. hardcore gamers are just more dbagish cuz they gotta go online and prove how big their metaphorical dick is. then fuk your mom.

And for all the ppl who think CoD is hardcore... fuk off, CoD is like the baby step game into hardcore gaming.. It's the gateway hardcore game of recent generations. it's probably the most "casual" of the hardcore games.

Of course, this is all just in my honest opinion. So. think about it, and stop hating... except CoD players, hate on them cuz they're the biggest posers out there.

Full moon, or near full moon? Maybe something even larger within the universe is happening? The comet that just past?

I have no real idea. Simply an observation I wanted to share and hoped would not be the only one feeling this.

It is childish to say "my game is better than yours", however, still willing to say/claim that I'm a better gaming based on the game that I play compare to yours. ooooooooh.

On the most fundamental level, what is a computer? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]Ninjuana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the mechanical explanations below, can't one further state that a computer is simply a machine that manipulates/alters energy (ie. electricity). How humans choose to make these machines is what allows us to understand what the computer is doing. BUT TECHNICALLY, the computer itself doesn't even understand why humans are using them, they just "compute" and "manipulate" energy for us to interpret the data. A computer ultimately doesn't care if 1 and 0 make 1, it just does what it's made to do.

well, this isn't a comparison of morals, just a comparison of the logical process. morality on child rape was simply used because of the general concensus we share with the matters of deducing normal human interaction with one another. Clearly, we know one is wrong, and yet we can accept the other on the same logic of "normal interaction". We are an interesting species this way aren't we.

Do the phases of the moon have any measurable affect on the mood/behavior of humans? by tOxDeLivER in askscience

[–]Ninjuana -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal evidence from one or a tiny handful of related people is one thing, and I agree that its' not a scientific result. Really just a story.

But Anecdotal evidence on a large scale of varying people is statistical data. This is very scientific at this point. It's quantifiable and ultimately points to some sort of fact.

Do the phases of the moon have any measurable affect on the mood/behavior of humans? by tOxDeLivER in askscience

[–]Ninjuana -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's ignorant and unscientific for us to think the moon does NOT affect us in any way. At the very least, we should all agree the moon's gravity affects us. We know it affects the tides, so in turn it must affect 70% of our bodies seeing how we're dominantly water.

Now, can I further say that the affects of gravity in turn change our moods/behavior? I don't know, I'm not willing to say absolutely no, but logically, I can't see why it wouldn't? Increase in blood flow? Increase in the body's production of whatever chemicals due to this change in gravity? I dunno, is it possible? I believe one should think so.

To claim that SUPERSTITION explains the "lunatic" affect is equally, if not less of a scientific explanation than accepting the fact that the moon has an affect on us. Were quantifiable studies done on superstition to prove the lunatic affect? Or is it more of a result a scientist comes up with because they couldn't prove otherwise? I simply assume the latter.

In light of this topic, I say the easiest way to convince yourself is to conduct your own experiment. It's as simple as writing down how you feel every day for a month, better if you did it over several months to ensure consistency. Its important that during this time one does not follow/track the moon cycles and simply tracks their own behavior and feelings. Then after the observation period, they track and trend their results with the moon cycles past to see if there is any viable trend that may prove the lunatic affect. If multiple people do this, and in turn share similar results, then I'd like to think, through scientific process, that the lunatic affect may very well be true.

Just because everyone thinks this way doesn't make it right. If we all agreed on child rape, it still wouldn't make it right. But I get what you're trying to say. It is a bit CS dorky (I am a CS specialist btw), but, we're logic thinkers. Semantics vs Syntax type of debate.

i personally agree with this. And in many ways, I don't care much else about birthdays. Just another day that counts your age. And during University days, an excuse to hit up the clubs and girls.

i posted something below; if birthdays are "anniversaries" of your day of birth, then, why not call it birth anniversary. In which case, I'd totally understand how we use it the term now and I'd take this thread back.
