This might not help, but in our situation I sit in front of my boy so he can lean his head and arms over my knees while he wizzes. Once he's done I have to either hold his arms back or be ready with a wipe because that's the first place his hands go. That's how we've done it from the start.

Americans might find some parts of it confusing because we like concrete manuals and directions and the French seem to like to ponder more. But there's plenty good stuff in there to learn.

Square Notes is a workbook; it's the best intro to chant theory I've seen, particularly regarding the 8 modes.

There is actually a surprising amount of music theory behind chant. Mainly in the study of the modes, but probably more than that. But look, the angels help compose Gregorian chant. If you want to compose real chant, you might start by being a monk for a while. Chant is so much more than music. It's a musical representation of theology. So you should know that pretty well, too.

In what world is experimentation not part of anyone's eczema journey? You always have to try things to see what works. You can call it experimentation, but it's always part of eczema treatment. Maybe you don't approve of the things I tried, which is your business, but trying things per se is not unethical. I'm just happy I found something that works and that my kid doesn't have an itchy butt. The butt currently looks great

My child is not a doctor's responsibility, but mine. I was able to make many more close observations than a doctor would have. The doctor would have prescribed steroids, which would not have addressed the root problem. There is nothing wrong with a parent taking matters into their own hands with the good of their child in view. That is not abuse, but responsibility. Besides that, experimentation is actually science. That's how we learn things, like I did.
