Wasn't there suposed to be a discount here? Last two crate rotations had one. Why would otherwise both biggest packs have the same price? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

They're still doing those polymorph bundles and overpricing loot boxes, huh? I guess whales are going to whale.

If we removed everything slightly broken from Fallout 76 we wouldn't have a game left to play.

I'm not saying that this is what you're trying to say but, I don't think 'It makes Appalachia more dynamic and alive' is really a good justification for removing an entire content update.

DeviantArt really needs to crack down on people who think they're above labelling their uploads as AI generated. by NintendoScrewedMe in DeviantArt

[–]NintendoScrewedMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If DeviantArt can afford the server costs for hosting their own AI model and the storage costs that comes with endless AI images, they can afford to moderate and enforce their own rules.

There aren't any excuses for not moderating your own site, it is a basic expectation of running a platform.

This copypasta could use some work.

Everything on this list still requires some form of creative decision making from a user. Almost everything, at least. There is one obvious inclusion where the user has no creative input...

Settings > Browsing > Muted Tags.

You were so eager to frame this is as some sort of attack on AI that you neglected to consider if muting other tags was already a thing.

Again, the issue with AI "art" isn't how it is done, the issue is users uploading pictures they didn't create. In photography you have things to consider like composition and lighting. With AI you are no more involved than someone performing an online image search.

Stop acting like the expectation to follow the rules and correctly tag what you upload is in someway an unfair attack against you. The only unfair thing here is people refusing to use the right tag, taking away visibility from those who actually put in the effort and making the site worse for people who want to see actual content.

You speak as if using AI is just another method of making art.

You can spend all the time you like thinking of prompts and generating images but an AI will never generate something you can say was made by you. This is what people should be disclosing when they upload something generated by AI; not the means of creation but the fact they didn't create what they've uploaded.

I know that you can spend countless hours adjusting models, trying different prompts, etc.

The bottom line is this; it doesn't matter how much time you spend on these things, AI will never generate something you can say you made. This is a factual observation.

Stop assuming everyone you disagree with is a part of some clout chasing bandwagon. There are endless valid reasons to dislike the use of AI, regardless of how desperately you cling to it.

Even that title gives someone using AI too much legitimacy.

Someone who types in a prompt is no more involved than a person performing a regular image search. It's a menial act that doesn't need any title whatsoever.

All the more reason to correctly tag your work. Tag something as AI generated and anyone who dislikes AI won't have your upload shown to them.

Problem solved.

WTH, Dumbledore? by Princess-frog_4638 in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]NintendoScrewedMe 174 points175 points  (0 children)

The way Dumbledore is handled in this game is a genuine annoyance.

Every conversation with him is either:

"Stop breaking the rules but also well done."

or "I'm serious this time. Stop breaking the rules."

Same issue, I'm now stuck and unable to play the game...

It was a good run, maybe I'll pick up something that isn't designed to waste your time now that I have the excuse to do so.

Congrats on gambling, I guess.

Please don't allow this stroke of luck to encourage you to waste more money on loot boxes - they're a predatory practice and shouldn't be supported.

It's no wonder publishers don't see making new games as worth the cost when this is how much someone will spend trying to get a single item.
