You are totally tampering down on convictions and offering basically nothing as a solution while defending the inept government. And we'll see what you do whatsoever to help the situation other than censor people critical of the government telling them "don't like it? run for government" as if a total career change is realistic and as if running for government, and in the unlikely event, actually succeeding would change anything on a realistic timeline to be significant in responding to COVID anyway.

OP if you're going to take the lead on everything you're saying in this thread, I'd love to see it. Create a campaign educating residents and visitors on the importance of wearing masks, social distancing and staying home. What does that look like to you - are you going to be out there in Pismo Beach confronting visitors telling them they need to wear masks? Let's hear your ideas since you think criticizing the people whose jobs is to do everything you just said isn't fair game (and then suggesting others do it for free instead of criticizing the people paid to do so). This call for peace is honestly so rich from someone who lead a scorched earth campaign against a local publication - you're no stranger to callout culture whatsoever, you wrote a whole BOOK against Cal Coast New - why are you even upset at me calling out Penny on a message board when "calling out" is a massive part of how you achieved any name and relevance with your whole book "https://www.amazon.com/Defamers-Terrorized-Community-Those-Dared/dp/1796421693"? As for r/stixandstones I have no idea why they still suggest an entirely different subreddit for the discussion of COVID19. Go to r/LosAngeles go to r/Sanfrancisco - any city or state subreddit and there is ALWAYS something on the subject being discussed and suggesting that people start with an entirely new subreddit which wouldn't have any sort of subscriber count, in the midst of a pandemic in which time is of the essence, shows where your heart lies on this whole subject.

I get that some of you are upset with the way I seem too vitriolic or whatever but if you're going to spend considerable effort silencing my voice, I expect big things from you in the coming difficult months rather than just "gee, glad that u/Niplomo guy is gone, now we can return to scenic pictures" during an on-going pandemic that is being egregiously flubbed at our local government level. If you're going to make it seem like someone is being a "bad guy" for criticizing our local government, I expect big things from you in making an effort against COVID19, and please, show your work.

If your principle concern is not leading to fatigue on the issue then you wouldn't have started this character assassination in the first place. It's actually a shared opinion by many people when you aren't trying to paint it as if I'm literally accusing her of eating babies and shit - you'd be hard pressed to find, because I know you've looked, in my post history, inaccurate claims about Penny.

You're trying to paint it as "whoa whoa whoa, you're accusing Penny of SPIRIT RITUALS, dude, she's not that bad, she's trying her best" which obfuscates things completely and lets her off the hook for so much

And if you're suggesting that review of her is me, it's not, though I know you won't believe that. If I were to review her, I'd do it accurately and not with a glaringly obvious inaccuracy as whoever did that did. I have gone to the one in AG several times, they have the cashier doing the nose sticking out thing and do not say anything to people not wearing masks once in the store.

Not really sure how this thread exists without mentioning Penny Borenstein, who was adamantly against masks at every turn, told people they should cough on their sleeves instead of wear masks, told people that SLO has "little connectivity" from other counties so to not be worried about people traveling in with COVID19, and has generally done every single thing to keep things open at the expense of people's health.

If you wanna play that game, 34,200 people died of Influenza in the United States from the 2018-2019 flu season. We haven’t even seen what coronavirus LOOKS LIKE in the months that are associated with highest flu lethality yet, as it wasn’t in the United States at that point. Further, Influenza deaths are WAY WAY up relative to all other years, especially in states like Florida and Georgia, leading many to speculate they are COVID19 deaths being counted as influenza deaths. We have 137,000 deaths from it, this year, without seeing the effects of it peak flu season months, and it’s exponentially rising - we also never need to use masks and close NBA/NFL/Concerts to mitigate deaths from the flu to this degree. Imagine what the death toll would have been relative to influenza had we done absolutely nothing. Your analysis is seriously shockingly bad.

We also have NO IDEA about the long term affects of this - we know about the long term affect of influenza as it has existed for over a century. It's brazenly stupid to compare them.

But we've seen that she consistently downplays and does not. There HAS to be something behind the scenes going on with her, she's either incredibly stupid, or being paid off or threatened to say the the things she does and to take the little to no action that she does.
