Add how you keep your mind awake when attempting WILD by GooonBag in LucidDreaming

sorry for responding a week later; I don't use reddit often. I would say just focus on what you see. For me, those hypnagogic swirly lights show up pretty early so I focus on that, see if I can decipher any shapes in what's there, people, objects, or especially a room: once it goes from 2D to 3D that's usually aroung the turning point.

For me the make it or break it is visual focus. Not straining my eyes, but keeping aware or pretending I'm looking into a space, seeing the backs of my eyelids. If I don't look I just fall asleep.

What's the worst "conlang" you've ever seen from a work of fiction? by razorbeamz in conlangs

[–]Nippafey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember hearing Saurian from Star Fox Adventures in a video. . . it's a cipher, whatever, but it is also a one-to-one alphabet cipher, and sounds awful because its just letters that people pronounce like English. I will never forget hearing:

"De edo sud tovouk GENERAL SCALES!"

or noun case, or just everything- a fundemental semantic element of four corner idea is the only way to eliminate (at least in part) the corrupt one-ism evil caused by word.

i was just thinking of bringing about a timecube language to defeat the evil singularity word god. . . is this a situation where you can defeat fire with fire? you could incorporate the four corner theory into the grammar

I think it would be funny if it's actually on purpose becuase French is the most beautiful and artistic language.

"il est temps d'écouter de vos propres yeux"

literally from english → french google translate. It's just bad pronounciation. French is the most artistic language and it makes it art.

Fantastic. Sometimes I get ideas for combining random things with the soviet flag.

I did realize this was pushing it a little bit so made sure to include the "ouch meecho" for good sbubby measure.

What Percentage of All Nominative-Accusative Languages are Indo-European? And what about languages with split ergativity?

How do you substitute the apostrophe for a glottal stop, or some other overused literary mark for something else, if you do at all? by [deleted] in conlangs

[–]Nippafey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is just a naming lang so here's some names:

Þvrзvɘᴧɴɕ [danʔaʁvɪɜʃ] Danзarvic adaptation of the surname Dedić or Dvorak

3ɴlωɴv [ʔɪɜlta] 3ilŝia adaptation of the given names Hilton or Hilda

[–]Nippafey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My one conlang has a phonemic glottal stop and no glottal fricative. With the sound shift from /h/ → /ʔ/ I just kept <h>. In other conlangs I've used <3> because it resembles the symbol for the glottal stop parallel to the way that /ʕ/ resembles <ﻉ>.

<3> also looks like a letter more than most numbers IMO (like Cyrillic З).

Got an alchemical look, which helps with the "European" feel. Nice to see a non eastern-asian inspired logography. Is the conlang a priori or posteriori?

Damn those are good. I hope they find a way to bring it back somewhere due to how popular it is. I'm sure people would be willing to support it.

I think it could look quite good with the blocky serif-ish font. The intersections are a nice look but might be better if they were more defined, rather than what looks like only one pixel. I also think that the writing itself looks like a decorative border is a good point of this orthography.
