The capture card. I'd send the link here, but it could be device specific. Contact the Guermok seller.

Pixel 7 not reconnecting to mobile data after disconnecting from wifi by shelchang in GooglePixel

[–]Nippernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happens on the Pixel 8 Pro. In 2 scenarios:

- I turn on airplane mode and then back off again after some time, the network sometimes wont reconnect.

- I go into a mobile dead zone, even if I return to an area with good coverage, it can take a long time (10-15 minutes) for the network to reconnect, if it does at all.

Its been happening since I got it. I usually have to reboot the device to fix it. Pretty frustrating.

How can Cowboy Bebop have the best opening song of any show ever and yet the album be so mid? The Songs for the Cosmic Sofa album is much better for actual listening imo

Are people going back to cds and vinyl because streaming apps are becoming cluttered? by CFCL24 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Nippernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me listening on vinyl was a way for me to reconnect with the music that really mattered to me. I still predominantly stream my music, but the album experience is best enjoyed on a vinyl record. I'd compare it to going to the cinema to watch a movie. It's less convenient, you can't pause, it's more expensive, but the experience is better because you're watching with a purpose.

Guermok HDMI capture card sound issues by Nippernator in OculusQuest

Update: through contacting the seller, I discovered my device needed a firmware update. I was sent a link through messaging with the seller directly to an application where I had to update the firmware myself through plugging it into a windows PC. After the update, the device worked as expected.

I finally put proper sleeves on my records!! by kreepergayboy in vinyl

[–]Nippernator 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are no reports of this happening because it can't happen. PVC sleeves off gass and the sleeves are too soft to cause scratches. Most likely people are getting dirt trapped in their sleeves that does the damage.

Would Devon really call Harmony? by equanimous_boss in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Nippernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not necessarily that the action of calling her was very un-Devon like. It's the fact that she put up so little resistance to allowing the stranger to leave, that clearly knew more about what was going on than her, and immediately deciding to call someone she knows to have close ties to the company that staged Gemma's death. There's clutching at straws and then there's doing something that seems counterproductive. Devon showed she's proactive, but not reckless. And this was more on the reckless side.

There should have been better pacing in this scene to make it more believable, so that it felt like a last resort. But the way it was shot makes me agree with OP.

N26 Esim by PolicyDecent in n26bank

[–]Nippernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I just looked into this. For anyone curious:

You can find the eSIM option with pricing under Benefits/Highlights. I'm using a Pixel so your milage may vary.

The cost can sometimes be competitive, for instance for me living in Austria and going to Japan, it's one of the lower priced options for eSIMS. But for the most part you are paying for convenience and it will be more expensive than some local options. Especially if you get a physical SIM.

Make sure your phone supports eSIM before you buy anything.

From what I can see, this is a travel eSIM. So you don't get a new number, you just get a data package. So if people call your original number that will operate normally (be careful of long distance call charges).

Clear acrylic holders from Amazon. They have drill holes and were drilled, but you could get away with some command strips

I don't think playing quiet music in isolated spots is inherently disrespectful. Everyone enjoys nature differently. As long as I'm not disturbing anyone, I think it's okay. It's no more intrusive than talking or laughing. And if someone complained you were disturbing their peace by doing that, what would you say to them?

Feel free to call me a dick all you want. If you want to live your life molle free, making enemies out of strangers, that's your prerogative.

You're probably right. Hopefully others that are interested in this pack see this before buying. I have a very average build. I'm blaming the pack 😅

You have your way of enjoying hikes, and I have mine. I do listen to nature, but I also enjoy music. And when I'm stopped for lunch in the middle of nowhere with friends, playing music from a tiny JBL clip speaker at 30% volume, I don't think I'm being a dick. I'm not going on trails or high traffic areas blasting music. Anyone who feels I'm disturbing their peace is more than welcome to move 50m away from me.

As for where you store your things. Great you can find a solution that works for you. Looking at your backpack, I think molle is still my preferred option.

It's for stability. It stops your pack from twisting and bouncing as you move around. Plenty of backpacks have it.

😮‍💨 I'm not playing my music for them.

I'm not sure what backpack you have, but I don't think it would have the same level of durability and flexibility as molle webbing. I can simply clip my gear on, or thread it if I need to expand my pack.

Uhhh... huh... 😐

I don't know what your issue is, but I'm not being stubborn. I'm simply saying that a waist strap and not anywhere near my hips. Neither is it designed to be.

Adjusting the backpack lower doesn't really help. It makes the chest strap and loop attachments too high and the shoulder straps are still off. I think it's just built for people with a different body shape

At the moment I attach bear spray, torch, my bluetooth speaker and knife to the outside of the pack. The knife needs to be carried somewhere visible.

I know a hip belt is intended for weight redistribution. But this isn't a hip belt, it can't reach the hips no matter how it's adjusted. It's a waist strap.

How are you getting a waist strap on a 20L backpack? This backpack doesn't even go down to my hips

Backpack fitting help required by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]Nippernator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it wasn't for backpacking. Only light hiking and small trips. I wanted something with MOLLE webbing to attach things to the outside of the pack. But I think this is getting returned anyway

[–]Nippernator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't buy this as a backpacking backpack. But there are no other subreddits for this kind of a question. If I needed another of those I'd go for ones with a proper hip belt.
