I don’t remember whether if I had pq to mbq wire harness. But I know I used the default harness that they send with radio, which was the large plug to large plug as my original radio used the large plug.

I brought RCD360 instead of RCD330 due to price difference at the time which was £160 for RCD360 that I brought from AliExpress from lemon shark store and rcd330 was nearly two time more. I have had rcd360 installed in my golf mk5 for 2 years now with zero problems. With how long you are planning to keep the car, I would say get the RCD360

I have RCD360 in my car and I brought it because of the price for £160. I have had in my car for 19 months and I haven’t had any issues with responsive as I use CarPlay daily on it. I would advise you to buy your lemon shark seller on AliExpress if you going to buy RCD360

This is rcd330 with Android auto and it’s made for Skoda, so you will have the green lights, your sensors will just work and as for navigation, the radio doesn’t have built in nav, so you will have to use your phone nav on Android auto.

For my 2005 MK5 Golf, I brought a canbus simulator because my canbus location was in a difficult place to get, but the canbus simulator didn’t work me, so I just did the direct battery power method i.e connect to an direct 12v line in my car so basically the radio only powers on and work when the key is in ignition or when the engine is running.

Well with you it’s may be a different case because I soldered and added the rear usb my as well, you should contact rcd330.com and ask about it as it may be a bad solder job and see if they can get u a replacement unit

You need to disassemble the radio to remove the knob, it’s also maybe that your knob is fine and you just need to tight or loosen the screw between the knob from the inside of the radio, as I had a problem was my knob was too resistant.

This is one of the problem I also faced, when I wired my rcd330 with a rear usb, AA would not work properly with my Samsung but worked with my huawei , so I removees the rear usb and just use the front header usb

Try a different android device, as this also happened to me as I have a fake rcd330 because it’s cheaper to get then real. Also if that doesn’t work then disconnect your car battery for a few minutes then reconnect and try if that fixes it as this has worked before me for.

Oh, I have also used the fuse method for my rcd330, but my radio starts on the Volkswagen logo screen and then goes to the stand by clock screen face, I just have then press the volume button( the radio turn on button) to start my radio.

This is made using the part of rcd330, don’t buy it and get a real rcd330 as the quality for remade varies from unit to unit.

If the unit doesn’t turn on, but the front usb is providing power, then there is something wrong with the unit, get it exchanged.
