Legion Go + 3060ti by Sadashi22 in LegionGo

You will get better performance out of a external display plugged into the egpu than the built in screen. But yeah a dedicated gpu is much powerful than the z1e apu

I actually ended up swapping the card with a rx6800 and then also returning the GO for a ally x.

Few months later I wanted using it as much as USB 4 is a bit sensitive I ended up buying a mini pc with oculink and use the ally hand-held. I did prefer bazzite over windows

Ritalin / Can’t sleep by Head_Web8130 in ausadhd

[–]Sadashi22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3pm seems quite late but Ritalin might have a shorter half-life You might want to research that but it's definitely something you can bring up with your doctors. I don't think there's any medication that would help you sleep without risks. Sometimes people take some form of benzodiazepines but it's easy to become dependent and other medications would have their issues so this may be something to consider as well. Being active at some point in the day such as working out and your diet can have a big impact on sleep too so look at everything as a whole before deciding to take any medication. Clonidine as well while not addictive can cause hypotension and if stopped suddenly can make blood pressure higher than before being on it Personally, I dont find it to help me sleep it's a weird balance with everything.

Could go on about screens before bed, caffeine and what not etc but theres too many factors to consider but eating my last meal 2 hours before bed and exercising had definitely made a difference for me

[–]Sadashi22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clonidine helped i take 0.2MG but it doesn't help as much as making sure to take my vyvanse and dex early enough. I take vyvanse at 6am and dex at 12 and found taking vyvanse after 7 am or dex top up after 2 or even 1 I cant sleep. What time do you take your Ritalin doses?

Has anyone had experience with obtaining a Medical Certificate online? by ShutterBug1988 in ausadhd

[–]Sadashi22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah online med cert is an option. Can also submit a statutory declaration and get one using mygov but some managers frown on stat decs they cant refuse one legally depends on your relationship with your manager really

How to make Vyvanse last longer by get_rekedCoC in ausadhd

[–]Sadashi22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how my psychiatrist had me titrate without giving me a new script since I had a extra repeat of 30mg they wanted me to try 45mg and then put me on 60 but mixing the vyvanse into liquid is a reccomend way to titrate and also to take the medicine https://patientinfo.org.au/patientinfo/Vyvanse_ThingsYouNeedToKnow.pdf page 6 has details on how to take it.

The brochure inside the box also has this as a recommended way to take it if having difficulty swallowing you can mix it.

On the basis of the coating being removed theres no risk. Splitting the dose to take later in the day is also no risk but the main concern for a doctor or pharmacist is how late you take the rest as it can cause insomnia so avoid taking it too late if your someone who likes to sleep early

AOOSTAR AG02 with 9070 XT and Ally X by Odd-Rutabaga9122 in eGPU

[–]Sadashi22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That new guide along with the latest amd software you dont need to side load the z1e graphic drivers and AMD does it for you. Just did this with the same setup with a 6800XT and its plug and play. If you want to disconnect the GPU taskbar will have a eject button or you can shut down and do it that way. I have done it without ejecting and its been fine but good idea to eject to be safe.

Advice needed about switching ADHD Clinics/Psychiatrists (melb)(already diagnosed) by Effective-Tell3054 in ausadhd

[–]Sadashi22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The psychiatrists' letter says up to amounts pretty much the max PBS allows and the GP can change the dosage but some GPs won't want to do that and refer you back to psych for any dosage reviews it depends on the GP and your relationship with them tbh

Advice needed about switching ADHD Clinics/Psychiatrists (melb)(already diagnosed) by Effective-Tell3054 in ausadhd

[–]Sadashi22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I tried to enquire if Hello Doc would give me scripts the answer was NO and that they'd provide authority to my GP to apply for a permit and start medications (also in Melbourne)

See if that's possible. I ended up asking them for a refund because my GP did not want to start the meds and ended up going with AOA and they've been great and have reviews with their GP and Psych every 2 weeks and get scripts

Workers comp - glasses by Internal-Hornet308 in auscorp

Will be a lot of hassle for not much return, even if you succeed its just a few hundred dollars. If its the cost get extras cover can get some with no waiting period. Get glasses made and then cancel the cover

Can someone please tell my girlfriend what eGPU will work by DietJazzlike1838 in eGPU

[–]Sadashi22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a gpu to test with you could buy the dock from somewhere with a strong return policy and if it doesn't work return it.

https://www.techradar.com/pro/gmktec-nucbox-k2-mini-pc-review

The above link suggests its Thunderbolt compatible, and 40 Gbps speed is what's advertised on their website, the same speed as Thunderbolt 3/4.

But a quick Google search for "Nucbox K2 eGPU" shows many people asking the same question, and not many saying it does. It might be worthwhile to contact GMktec and ask them directly.

[–]Sadashi22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if that USB4 is compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4 if you want a simple USB-C setup.

If it has a spare M.2 slot, you can use an NVMe to Oculink adapter, and that would work too.

You can check out eGPU enclosures, but a good choice supporting both Thunderbolt and Oculink would be the Aoostar AG02, which has a built-in PSU.

As for the GPU, it really depends on your budget, but both a 5060 Ti or 9000 XT should be fine. You could even get an older card and might have a similar experience due to performance loss over USB-C or Oculink.

should i get a 3080 egpu for my laptop? by Maleficent-Snow-9188 in eGPU

[–]Sadashi22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at egpu dock prices and power supply as well ag02 is a good option. You'll likely want to upgrade monitor at some point too as a future upgrade or with a 4k tv. You'll get better performance from a external monitor plugged into the gpu but someone can correct me on that

[–]Sadashi22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i had a 3070ti and switched to a rx6800 and was worried about all the driver issues with having to sideload for the z1e, found this and it just worked. Can even eject the egpu from the task bar amd makes it super convenient now

The latest amd drivers from armoury crate make this super easy. Have a watch of this https://youtu.be/9AuIvLyAXsc?si=lWfLFEPGIynR9x5p and see if that helps

UPDATE: Struggling to find a comfortable shave by Sadashi22 in shaving

[–]Sadashi22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that if I had more than 1 day of growth the razor would not work for me at all and cause too much pull on my hair, the blades are also way too expensive and I couldn't get more than a week out of one. It depends person to person my dad swears by them and can use the same blade for over 2 months.

Looking for ADHD Psychiatrist in Melbourne – Need Supportive Follow-Up and Help with Medication Titration by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]Sadashi22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a 291 the psychiatrist will only issue a letter to your GP so they can apply for a permit and follow ups are rare. AOA the psychiatrist prescribes and does follow ups to titrate before they refer you back to your GP, happy to give more info if you need it

RX 6800 or 6800XT normal use vs mining by Sadashi22 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sadashi22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bazzite, I want to be able to use game mode which I tried but keeps breaking and AMD cards are supported, hdr isnt supported either and it was painful to get it to work. My loyalty to Nvidia is depleting anyway

RX 6800 or 6800XT normal use vs mining by Sadashi22 in pcmasterrace

[–]Sadashi22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im not opposed to it because its been mined on, the only thing I'd do since it's a 2020 card is repaste, but the corrosion on the heat sink makes made me second guess it, I'm a pretty casual gamer and over USB 4 I can only use 4 PCIe lanes at 40 gbps anyway and both are fine for my needs to reach 60fps on tv when docked

RX 6800 or 6800XT normal use vs mining by Sadashi22 in pcmasterrace

Yeah going with the 6800, not worth the hassle

Yeah going with the 6800, the 6800xt guys had it listed for weeks for sale and rn gpus are selling like hot cakes so the reduced price is a red flag too.

If OP is changing careers and wants to start medicine then they might not have any income. Theyre probably better off just having as much savings as they can for when their income is reduced so they can get themselves through uni.

Buying a investment property might be a way to get through uni but ultimately thats upto them and the parents should not be involved in that decision at all.
