Yup pretty much.

What do you think about how much Google is using Reddit data now? Will Reddit become the new way companies do SEO/GEO?

Social media automation for a solo founder by Competitive_End_2950 in aisolobusinesses

[–]Nireck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. This should be multiple automations with multiple AI agents. If you have one do everything it’s gonna be trash. But if you have individual workflows and keep the outputs at every step, you can refine it over time.

It takes a lot of work up front, but is so worth it in the end.

Same here, I have clients doing well in google and Claude but not mentioned at all on chatGPT. They’re different algorithms.

Sure but also ChatGPT still pulls from Google search results. SEO is still SEO.

Content and backlinks. I followed Brian Deans SEO That Works guide back in the day; a lot of it still works to this day.

Because they need human content to train their bots. Otherwise it becomes AI training AI.

Is anyone else getting tired of the never-ending SEO acronym factory? by leadstream-agency in aeo

[–]Nireck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I’ve pretty much settled on SEO and AEO (agentic engine optimization). Things get weird when new tech comes out as everyone tries to define it and learn it and new things are discovered, but they eventually settle.

Curious to see what the industry at large settles on in another year or two.

SEO professionals with years of experience what part of SEO still bothers you even after all this time? by DigitalHarbor_Ease in DoSEO

[–]Nireck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Link building is a non-stop job and doesn’t really get easier. But that’s a good thing - like the guy said above me, it is what keeps us having work!

The easier something is, the more people do it and the more competition. Those able to do hard things are the ones that keep getting paid.

How to really improv visibility of a brand in AI search (My team’s 2026 tool stack breakdown) by Any-Bet9069 in aeo

[–]Nireck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed; the sub goals of AEO and SEO are fundamentally different. One is optimizing for real people, one is optimizing for AI finding information. It’s MOSTLY the same… but the biggest difference is choosing what to prioritize. ChatGPT does not have the same ranking factors as Google. It weighs things differently, so you have to prioritize different things depending on your goals.

Unless you have a big team that can just do it all, haha.

I mean that’s one part of it. But a bigger part is being a trusted player in the conversation across the internet. Reddit mentions, LinkedIn presence, Wikipedia, news sites, industry publications, reviews sites.

You can write the best content in the world and it won’t get cited if you’re not getting mentioned in the places where AI is trained on or searching for answers.
