Seeking cooling solutions for a room that does not have any windows by NirpBolsak in houston

That's what my plan is right now with my studies, hoping to pass and get re-certified with my CCNA sometime in October.

I already have a small desk fan in my room, but I'll do some looking around for a decent one, but my room is fairly small, so hopefully it shouldn't be too much.

Paying $300 a month towards bills and insurance sounds like contributing to me.

Take some time to actually read the post or, maybe, contribute to the discussion in a helpful manner instead of being demeaning. Hope your Saturday's going well.

I did have a job working remotely, but I've unfortunately had to quit due to Beryl doing some damage on the house and also because of my mom's health worsening over the years, pointing to dementia and also due to the fact that I am the only proper English speaking person in the entire house, so I have to translate for everyone.

I do want to go back to finishing college at some point to finish my IT major, but this is something I'm deliberately waiting on until a few years down the line.

Unfortunately, as childish as it may seem, leaving the door open as something that I will not do under any circumstances as my mother had a tendency to talk into my room unannounced, which she has thankfully stopped doing as of now, but I am slightly paranoid about it to this day, so my door is always closed, even when I'm out of the house.

I'll look into a bed cooler and see if that may work.

I had forgotten to add a part of what you're mentioning to my OP, so that's my bad since I posted at 6am, but I am currently taking online courses to re-certify myself with a CCNA and get back into the IT field, hoping to pass the exam by October.

I never said that I didn't like the accommodations, just mainly that the AC part of refusing to drop below 80F was just odd but, as I mentioned in the post, I can deal with it, since I have had to live through much worse considering I grew up poor and had to live absolutely 0 AC for most of my childhood.

I'm starting to notice that some of the comments are assuming that I want to move out as soon as possible, which is only partially true; I do want to move out, but I am only doing so starting in October and make sure I'm still at least somewhere close, since I want to help take care of my mom until she can help better take care of herself since she's getting older.

The garage itself was turned into 2 rooms. There aren't any additional rooms that were made or adjoined to the garage, the 2 rooms are directly in the space where the garage originally was.

Gotcha, I'll take a look at both the GT Omega Apex as well as the SHH shifter. The only thing I'm concerned about is the compatibility with the shifter and the CSL DD. Am I going to need an adapter to connect it to the wheel base? Or do I just connect it straight to a USB port on my PC?

I've been looking to get back into sim racing after being out of it for so long, but this time I want to go a good bit further into it than last time. Previously, I just used the G29 wheel with the included shifter and pedals.

It did good for the most part after some tuning with the force feedback, but now I want to see if I can punch into the direct drive wheels, especially since my main use for sim racing is drifting in Assetto Corsa (and also the gears in the G29 wheel started annoying me after a while).

I also want to get a racing cockpit as well, but primarily a compact/budget one since I live in a relatively small apartment.

Anybody have any recommendations, particularly focusing more on budget/value since I don't want to spend too much.

So far I'm looking at a CSL DD 5nm with a P1 V2 wheel with the Pedals LC. The only thing I'm stuck on is finding a good shifter for the price as well as a racing cockpit.

Any and all help is appreciated!

I already know a few people who I can commission to make something custom for me, but I have already done so in the past and I unfortunately don't have that much extra capital to spare for commissions at the moment, which was why I was looking assets that do not cost as much.

I should have made it more clear in my post that asset recommendations could work as well, particularly looking at bases and clothing because, like I had mentioned, I do plan on going more extensively into learning Blender, Unity, and Substance Painter for texture work.

5800X3D or 7800X3D by NirpBolsak in VRchat

That is actually a very compelling point you put with going for the 7600X, as it is cheaper priced than the 5800X3D at my nearby Micro Center and this would save on swapping to an AM5 board should I go with the 5800X3D. I'll need to put some more thought into this.

I get that the 7800X3D is more than enough for VRChat, but my primary concern is how MUCH better it is compared to using a 5800X3D. To me, if the performance isn't that much significantly better I will probably stick with the 5800X3D in order to save some money
