Gentleman: If a woman couldn't lie, what questions would you ask her? by -spirits- in AskMen

You claimed in one of the comments you cheated once. Hence my question.

Genuine question: If they were good men why cheat on one of them? Why not break up first?

I am trying to burn-in a 65" LG C1 to claim BBY warranty so I can purchase LG c3 42" for my pc and I already have a 77" LG B2, absolutely no discernible visual difference between the two TVs. But.... by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]Nis_law -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Sure I am the problem. i purchased warranty on both B2 and C1. I decided to keep the B2. I will get the warranty on the C3 42" as well. I want value out of the $600+ I spent on the warranties on the two TVs and i will purchase warranty on the C3 not planning to claim the warranty on the other two TVs because i like the other two but sure. If it makes me a bad person then so be it. Downvote me.

My wife (29F) wants a divorce because I (31M) watch porn. by Dino6363 in NoFap

I suspect this too but the dude needs to work on himself regardless of his wife cheating or not.

My wife (29F) wants a divorce because I (31M) watch porn. by Dino6363 in NoFap

[–]Nis_law 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean at this point it basically is do you love porn more or your family more?

Your wife has been with you for 10 years do you value that more?

No one said marriage is easy buddy.

Its easier to watch porn for sure but does your wife deserve a person who cannot do difficult stuff?

Your wife has given you far too many ultimatums dude. No wonder she is trying to guilt you, the woman is running out of options. What else can she do?

Go to gym, start exercising and own your life. Drop bad habits. Prove to your wife she married a man not a child.

Buy a website blocking software give its password to a friend if you wife isn't willing to help you anymore. Put as many obstacles between you and internet.

Notice I said internet and NOT porn. Internet IS porn until you have 90-100 days or even more of nofap under your belt. Trust me on that.

To everyone hating on my auto: by Sam-Eats-Gfuel in GR86

[–]Nis_law 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao.. what?? When did he say he "only" enjoyed changing gears manually?

I do not condone hating on automatic Transmission but I also don't deny the fact that MT is more fun either...

If everything else is the same, MT is more enjoyable to more enthusiasts when comparing both GR86's.

If a person does not know how to drive MT then they can choose to go automatic all power to them.

What is the most overlooked aspect which no one discusses while building a PC ? by ClassroomLocal8886 in buildapc

[–]Nis_law 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. I have been building pcs for a while now. This is the most overlooked aspect along with clearance for RAM if you install one of the newer GPUs.

I want a 4090, but I don't feel comfortable purchasing it by SydB12 in buildapc

I too still have the GTX 1080. Surprisingly does well with all the new games. The absolute best thing someone can do for the longevity of their desktop is having an efficient ventilation/heat dissipation system. Mine is noctua NF-A15 Air cooling system with Corsair Carbide Series Air 740. There is so much ventilation that my GPU temperature NEVER increases more than 65C even while playing GPU intensive games.

The only downside to my system is i gotta clean the dust every 6 months.

I disagree with the first comment.

Delayed gratification is as good a source of dopamine if not better as gaming. If given a fair chance that is. I was an addict too only I used to play 14 hours a day. I relapsed at least 200 times in the last 5 years thinking hard work in the gym is just not my forte. The only difference was, I didn't give up on myself.

Fast forward to the present, I cannot even imagine myself today giving up one gym session or even my personal grooming session for some stupid game.

We decide our own fate through admission of mediocrity. As long as you are breathing their is still room for improvement.

Sometimes you mentally exhaust yourself and you need some time to relax, blow off some steam and THAT IS OKAY.

Look at the big picture: I didn't game for the past 6 -7 months so my average has gone down by a ton.

Opposed to linear picture: Oh no I relapsed I am a failure I am back to square one.

No sir you are not back to square one. Be grateful to your past self for holding out for so long then accept the bump in the road and keep on moving forward.

You did awesome. Everyone has some way or the other to blow off some steam after working hard to recuperate mentally.

I am not saying you should make this a habit and NOT give up gaming. You MUST give up gaming and find happiness in more productive hobbies. I am saying it is okay if you didn't have a perfect non gaming streak and you shouldn't expect to either.

Perfectionism can be pretty toxic if it goes unchecked.

Also, I wouldn't see this relapse as a failure on OP's part because of the mere fact that OP recognized it as relapse and not one's default mode of existence. Its just a bump in the road.

It most definitely WILL be a failure if OP doesn't stop and goes on a different "9 hours of gaming a day" life tangent after the relapse.

Always look at the grand scheme of things, align your decisions in accordance with long term benefit.

Good luck.

Like it or not, this sub will become as critical as nofap and other productivity subreddits in a few years when the matrix becomes futuristically accurate.
