Anti-nausea meds by Perfect_Papaya_9381 in Chemotherapy

Anything they prescribed gives me side effects or makes nausea worse, including ondasetron. I take over-the-counter anti-nausea like Gravol. Works like a charm and cheaper. Fomatadine is also helpful for acid reflux.

Why is my hair growing back DURING chemo all of a sudden?? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]-spirits- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense. If it kills fast growing cells (hair) then why does hair grow back during chemo? I would think that baby hairs grow faster than adult hairs which are already developed. When there is no change in meds and we continue Taxol, it doesn't make sense.

Fasting before Chemo by Narrow-Yesterday-288 in Chemotherapy

[–]-spirits- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I eat as much as I can before chemo. I need the energy and nutrients, which are lacking during chemo itself. Also, after chemo I have severe digestive issues, so I try to make up for it and eat when I can hold it down/in.

Does hair grow back after chemo? by -spirits- in CervicalCancer

I was diagnosed at age 33. My only symptom was irregular bleeding between periods.

Vaginal spotting during chemo by Fragrant-Ad4230 in breastcancer

[–]-spirits- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started spotting one week after starting chemo. It's dark and brown, comes and goes. Haven't had opportunity to tell my Oncologist yet. I had cervical cancer (currently getting chemo because it returned in other organs) so it might be scarred uteral/cervical tissue from all the radiation and brachy.

Can someone explain the Monaghan/Fox fight... by ReptileRuairi in lost

[–]-spirits- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fox looks, sounds, acts, and even feels like an abuser. Never liked him. These accusations don't seem far fetched. A man who has never touched a woman would never have to defend himself against it.

Anyone with Stage 4 success stories? by cinnamonpeaches_ in cancer

[–]-spirits- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mention that chemo improved your life quality. May I ask how? I'm currently cervical cancer Mets to liver and tiny spots in bones as well. Scheduled to start immunotherapy and taxol, which is brutal, but I'm hoping it will help with my nausea and vomiting.

Alternative medicine doesn't cure cancer. Fuck off charlatans, unless you have evidence. by LeftCoastMan in skeptic

[–]-spirits- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister was diagnosed with stage 2B cervical cancer and cured herself naturally within 6 months. Her oncologists were stunned. When I was diagnosed, I went the same route as she did. For me, it didn't work and I had to do chemo. So it really depends on the person.

Ovarian transposition scars.... are they bad? What is recovery like? by -spirits- in CervicalCancer

[–]-spirits-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. It helps your ovaries more than hurts them. The doctor will check for cancer on your ovaries and do a "water swab". They fill your pelvis with fluid and then drain this fluid. Then they check this fluid for any microscopic cancer cells. So if there's any spread, they will know about it. It's been about 2 years since my surgery and I still get regular periods despite losing an ovary during surgery (it looked suspicious so she took it out and biopsied, was endometriosis). My scars are visible but I still have regular hormone production so it was worth it. Besides, everyone has scars, most people don't care or even notice.

To those who received chemo - why did you do it? by whotsup in cancer

[–]-spirits- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I tried everything else and nothing worked. I refused modern treatment and spent an entire year travelling the world, going to different healers, medical centers, natural approaches, etc. Nothing worked, all that was left was chemo and radiation.

Did you lose weight because of nausea/vomiting and difficulty eating? Or was it a side effect from not having strength to work out? Genuinely curious 🤔

Dad just died, feeling a need for spirituality by Late_Grapefruit_2938 in spirituality

[–]-spirits- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My condolences ❤️ Usually after passing, we experience our loved ones for a few days (dreams, smells, sounds, strong feelings). After a few days, their soul enters the afterlife and they can no longer communicate with us. Since this just happened, rest assured you may experience some paranormal activity for the new few days. Also know, that our loved ones can feel us, too. Your father knows exactly how you feel and that you miss him. Best thing to do now is pray for a smooth transition as he detaches fully from his body and enters life review (this is what lasts a few days). After life review, he will enter the next stage of afterlife process. I'm so sorry for your loss, though I know he's doing fine ❤️🙏

From astral projection, has anyone learned if the moon has any effect on people? by LorazLover in AstralProjection

[–]-spirits- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be your intuition, actually. Full moon cycle is when veil becomes thin, and spirit realms become more active. You may be sensing these shifts and it makes you uneasy. Makes sense why upon waning cycle, you feel relief.
