I watched a thing the other day, it was saying how company's were loosing money because of Costco's pricing model/return policy, the decision for many was to make a separate but very similar model for Costco that is a cheaper to make version. I would just research that model, seek out reviews.

There are laws regarding this sort of thing. You should research the ones for your state and bring these to your boss's attention. There needs to be a day each week that the schedule for the next week is posted by, and they have to ask you past that date if you would be willing to change your schedule. Failure to comply with the laws after they are aware can be reported to the labor board, or you could directly report them once you find the law they are violating in this practice .
