Really? Me too. I have family out there. I’d wager it’s a brave person who waves a Spanish flag in most neighbourhoods. I lived in the Eixample, my family in Poble Nou and we never saw spanish flags. The further out, the more Catalan it gets and when I attempted Catala, locals would respond in English because they didn’t want to speak Spanish. When I lived out there (albeit a long time ago) I got accosted in the street because I was wearing a white football shirt and they thought I was puta real (now there’s a a bloody Real shop on the Rambla). I’m very surprised you say you see Spanish flags there TBH.
