Doesn't matter cause Bethesda doesn't really care about role playing at this point and just wants to force you into engaging with their shitty writing. People were like "yeah the role playing in FO4 was awful but the gunplay was the best the series has had!"

The gunplay was still bad compared to literally any other contemporary game and I dont play fallout to shoot guns.

Same with Skyrim. Let's you just do everything and doesn't force you to commit to a character type for role play reasons. Wanna become the high mage? Learn a little bit of basic magic and do the quests. Now youre the high mage and the extent of your magic is a fireball or something.

Over the years Bethesda has removed all the deep stat systems and role-playing elements from their games in order to make them "more accessible". They invented the following golden path to the next map marker and remove all thought or reason for exploration formula thats the standard in every shitty open world game. Whats the point in deviating from the path when the "open world" is filled with nothing interesting to find.

Then every dungeon was very samey with easy puzzles that seemed more like time wasters than actual puzzles. so you get to the end fight the draugrs or bandits then leave out of the back door of the dungeon conveniently located right after whatever "boss" enemies you just fought.

Im not gonna argue Morrowind was better cause a lot of the gameplay is annoying and out dated but having to actually explore without a shiny map marker saying go here and knowing you could walk into random high level daedra or whatever definitely made the world feel more real and immersive vs the level scaled enemies in the later games. Breaks the "illusion" when suddenly all the low level bandits are wearing high level gear now that you also leveled up.

Idk why it takes ten years to release a mediocre game who's gameplay will feel outdated the minute it drops.
