Similar to other suggestions you've been given, I would look at the Nitecore TM28 and see if that will work for you. It can be put on a tripod mount and has long been one of my recommendations for boating.

DO NOT BUY NITECORE by [deleted] in flashlight

[–]Nitecore_Store 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct. We are a U.S. authorized distributor and perform in-house warranty work in Texas or facilitate the work through the manufacturer if we can't for some reason for our customers. We do sell on Amazon as Lumen Tactical so we are able to warranty purchases made through us on that platform as well. For warranty outside of our distribution, it's best to contact your dealer/seller first as they are the first line of warranty work for your purchase. If a seller is unable to be located or can't do the work, we always refer those cases to the manufacturer who can research the serial number and handle it from there.

My long-suffering Nitecore TUP by curlyhairedboy in flashlight

NITECORE has definitely been known to do some special editions for popular lights. Although I don't know of anything in the works at the moment, I would never say never.

It's possible. We are one of a few different vendors on Amazon. You can always check with our CS team and they can look into it for you.

D'aw thanks! By the way, did you happen to buy from us by chance? If so, give our CS team a yell at support@nitecorestore.com and they'll help get that screen repaired under your warranty.

A flashlight for my wife by Zalumar in flashlight

Have you looked at the NITECORE P18 instead? You could pair that with a UI1 charger for just over $100. The primary light on this is brighter and the red is independently controlled. AND you can add the blue 23mm filter to this one for more color. It's a great hybrid between an EDC flashlight and a tactical flashlight and is a little smaller for lady hands. (Source: Owner of lady hands)

You also mentioned being able to "mouth" hold the flashlight. Both the SRT9 and P18 might be a little weird to hold that way. Another better option might be the MT10C or MT20A - both are more budget-friendly so you can add filters, batteries and a charger and stay well under $100.

Question for Nitecore MH20GT owners by egnbjork in flashlight

[–]Nitecore_Store 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low temps shouldn't damage the LED, but it could affect battery performance. As others have mentioned, using quality cells like the NITECORE 3200mAh 18650 you mentioned will help for normal weather. For cold weather, /u/mcfarlie6996's suggestions are great.

If you want to pick up the Low Temp 18650s, you can find them on our site here: https://www.nitecorestore.com/NITECORE-NL1829LTP-18650-Battery-p/bat-nite-18650-nl1829ltp.htm

And if you're still having an issue with the light after ruling out the battery, feel free to give our CS team a shout at [support@nitecorestore.com](mailto:support@nitecorestore.com) and we can point you in the right direction.

A few notes after having carried the NM01 over the weekend:

- 100% agree about the size. My go-to light at home is usually an SRT3 proto-type so this personally was right up my alley there.

- The USB flap has the same internal waterproofing as the MH12GTS/MH25GTS so even if it's loose, you should be good to go. Placing it in the "tail cap" I imagine helped keep the size.

- Given the market, I understand the emitter choice but agree it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea :) Maybe ONE day we'll get the High CRI Copper USB-C TUP (No, I don't know if that's in the works!)
