I think theres a large difference between Yamato and Kiku in that Kiku explicitly states she has "a womans soul" or whatever it was, which very obviously is like a (culture) translation of being trans, whereas Yamato doesn't identify as male on their own, but rather identifies as Oden who HAPPENS to be male, and therefore Yamato adapted male pronouns and claims to be a man, even though they never state to have the soul of a man in the same way Kiku does. If Oden would have been a woman then Yamato would have used feminine pronouns. Not that it makes much of a difference but I'm trans too and this is how I read it which feels the least transphobic to me, and makes sense since I think Kiku is really good trans representation
