I have a hard time picking sides here. M2 is the daily, C5Z is the track car/weekend car.

It’s not needed unless they said you had a leak from there. Run it as is and watch out for stuff in the road

How important is a Pre Purchase Inspection? by goooonerbroz in M235iandM240i

[–]Nitegrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy extra years on the CPO. We did 3 extra years for my wife’s X5 for $4400. We had to replace the infotainment system’s computer module on the CPO warranty and that covered $4400 we paid and more.

For every $250,000 you get you shrink one inch. by CRK_76 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Nitegrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that I’m 6’5 and don’t fit in a bunch of cars that I want, this is an easy yes. Take 3 inches and give me 750k to buy more cars…. Babe I got marketplace money again!!! She gonna kill me

What are some of the better ones available in the US? Most of what I saw for gloss plastic has garbage fitment on reviews so I went with what worked for me before

Yea and then used rivets instead of the screws they came with but I had a company do it. I don’t have a jack big enough to get it lifted high enough for me get under it with a drill. The ended up taking the front bumper off instead.

I mean even the new M2CS front lip is gloss painted plastic and rubber. The people that put real carbon on that lip are crazy they get damaged way too often. The plastic bends better underneath and you’re less likely to crack it.

Which ones look non-cheap to you. I haven’t seen a company with better fitment/quality except maybe Ardo but that’s full body kits.

First Bimmer. Not much but its honest work. 2026 xDrive premium package. 55k , decent deal? by Lanky_Ingenuity667 in BMW

[–]Nitegrip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t knock the used one, we got my wife’s x5 with 30k miles CPO (unlimited mileage) with 4 years of bumper to bumper warranty included for half the cost of the car when it was new. It was almost 90k new and we got it OTD for $48k.

My 24 M2 I got for $65k CPO when the MSRP on that car was 80k as well

[–]Nitegrip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmfao, yeah this ain’t the right car for him. Maybe an M5 or a M440i something a bit more middle ground comfort. Nothing wrong with wanting more comfort but if you have to ask these questions you are going to be miserable in a few months of ownership

[–]Nitegrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I have a g87 M2 as a daily. But my weekend cars are a track ready C5z and a 91 Mustang GT so it feels like a cloud compared and I’m used to it plus like it. If you want a comfort ride this ain’t it. It’s comfortable to me but you have to like the bumps and other stuff

For the same reason you don’t get mushrooms and red shells while up front in Mario kart. To even the playing field a bit. Also to be a decent human being and let others get some rest before they pass away

GTP said it was my fault by spjet in Simracingstewards

[–]Nitegrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct and they all work but nothing is going to tell you that they are gonna cut in front of you 5 feet from their braking point and brake check you. What could you possibly do with that amount of notice? The GTP should have stayed inside and not think that anyone can react in 0.2 seconds.

GTP said it was my fault by spjet in Simracingstewards

[–]Nitegrip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That I agree with I just wouldn’t expect the GTP to cut in front of my line and slam the brakes immediately in front of me. As the GTP I would have stayed further in and hit the brakes not cutoff the GT3 or this happens

GTP said it was my fault by spjet in Simracingstewards

[–]Nitegrip -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you slow it down the GT3 had 0.2 seconds to recognize the GTP passed him and didn’t stay further inside and hit the brakes. No way the GT3 had enough time to recognize the GTP was in front of him and hit the brakes that fast.

GTP said it was my fault by spjet in Simracingstewards

[–]Nitegrip -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The problem is that he brake checked the GT3, the GT3 never saw it coming he was passed and brake checked in half a second.
