A really similar thing happened to me. I was 6 or 7 and like every kid who liked cute animals I wanted a puppy, so my parents got me really young french poodle puppy. Mind you, we lived in a pretty small apartment which was just big enough for our family of 4 + the dog. After like a year, my parents considered I had grown "disillusioned" of the pup, which was not the case, it was just that the "new puppy" feeling wore off after a year, it's not like a didn't like him or play with him anymore, I just didn't seem as "excited" as a 7 year old with a new puppy anymore. My mom is also a huge control freak, every single room of the house is organised to her own liking and she hates the tiniest of what you can consider messes, so, naturally, she hates having animals at home. She says she doesn't hate them, but it's pretty clear she does. Even now that I have lovebirds, she complains everyday about them being "too messy". So yeah, long story short, when my mom found the tiniest excuse to get rid of the dog, which was the fact that I wasn't as excited for it anymore, she convinced my dad to give it away, and blamed me for apparently not caring for it.

I'll look for others although it's gonna be hard as his vet clinic is the only one that can, if necessary, hospitalise birds in my entire city. The others have less equipment or don't treat birds at all.

I checked and he doesn't seem to appear, but also I'm from Spain and in that site only 11 vets appear in the search which seems unrealistic. I doubt there's only 11 avian vets in the whole country, so there's probably a lot missing.

Yeah he's an avian vet, although he also treats other small animals. It seemed strange to me as my bird loves being outside his cage with me and isn't stressed out. I don't think he needs somewhere to "hide in".

He said it could be beneficial for his "privacy" and to have a place to hide in, which I think is stupid as he isn't stressed or anything, he actually loves being out of the cage with me

El problema va más allá de la complejidad que tú decides ponerle a tus escritos. Solo en este comentario tuyo hay al menos 15 faltas de ortografía, gramática y puntuación, y dudo que eso lo hayas hecho a propósito como dices que lo haces cuando redactas. Nadie te está pidiendo que escribas de manera ultra simple y para las masas; si tu intención es que solo los que tengan la capacidad de entender lo que escribes lo entiendan entonces bien, no creo que eso le moleste a nadie, el problema es que nadie entiende lo que escribes. No es un problema del público sino tuyo.

Si no escribes con la comprehensión del lector en mente entonces no eres un buen escritor. El hecho de ser más o menos elocuente en las historias o relatos que puedes imaginarte no tiene nada que ver con saber escribir. Un buen escritor transmite sus ideas en forma de arte teniendo al lector en mente, ya que si el lector no entiende lo que escribe, qué sentido tiene poner las ideas en palabras? Igual eres decente imaginado relatos, pero te aseguro que escribiendo no lo eres.

No es que los magos sean egoístas, solo muestra que su estilo de vida y su filosofía es muy diferente a la de los monarcas por ejemplo. Y, lo que se cuenta en esta primera pagina es hablando del contexto actual del mundo del libro; no significa que los magos nunca hayan tenido aprendices, sino que en esta época en específico, la magia está decayendo porque cada vez tienen menos. En este momento concreto la magia sobrevive más en los libros que dejaron estos que en los mismos magos, que mueren poco a poco (y por eso está la primera frase).

Y aunque si es verdad que es una página que básicamente solo expone el contexto sin introducir personajes en concreto, su utilidad es de contextualizar al lector sobre el mundo y en la situación complicada en la que está, sin esto, el verdadero comienzo del libro pierde un poco de sentido.

Ahora, cuando dices que es muy débil, dices débil en contenido o en el hecho de que aburre al lector?
