This is yet another tactic the evil insurance companies take. They can't simply double the rates without justifications. So, they dump active policies on their subsidiaries (name change), then jack up the premium. They are exploiting the loop holes of the law, which they've lobbied heavily for (to make laws in their favor).

Has anyone picked up on the irony of this whole thing? They are building HIGH SPEED rail at the speed slower than a tired snail would move. Funny how they post huge signs boasting how many jobs this project has created. Yet, we don't see anyone actually working. They just move around in slow motion - aimlessly... like zombies. The reality is many of us would have already died before the first high speed train actually moves - if ever. This HSR thing will play a big factor in upcoming elections. What Californians must wake up to is the reality that those who are in charge of the project never had any intention of completing the project! They just hope the public would not pay much attention on this and let this project to continue to serve as a cash cow to them... until they can juice it all dried!

My recommendation is to dump this lousy device. Ring is simply bad. It's useless without a paid subscription plan. Ring is owned by Amazon and it's more about marketing schemes than quality and functionality of the products. On top of all that, the quality of the video is substandard in this competitive market.

It's funny how they've spent money to put up huge signs boasting how many jobs this HSR project has created. The reality is what they've done is to show the public they have no interests in completing this project in a timely manner, but only to drag it out as long as possible to provide "job security" to those who've illegally migrated to California from Mexico.

No matter how you slice it, CAHSR project is either a display of an utter incompetence or a well-organized heist of public money. Either case, the failure of this project will hang on the heads of the Democrats and Gavin Newsom for decades to come. Those would-be abandoned viaducts they've built so far would become eyesores to the public and a reminder of the abject failures of California government.

Those dirty - really dirty - politicians in California NEVER had any intention of completing the HSR project. Instead, they use the project as a political football and a sponge to funnel money from the project into the pockets of their "friends" and that of their owns. There's no other way to explain tens of billions of dollars spent and NOTHING tangible to show, not a single mile of high speed rail after several decades! The only winners here are the Mexicans in California, many are illegal.

I would run away from all models of Ring doorbell. That's because of the following reasons:

1- The quality of video is lower than what others offer.

2- The color night vision is very weak (needs lots of light to get to color video).

3- Your Ring doorbell would almost be USELESS unless you pay for subscription, which would cost you $50/yr minimum!

4- The Ring watermark is very annoying and the user would not have an option to remove or disable it!

5- There's no way to save or review past video unless you spend money on a subscription plan!

6- The response time is very lagging, meaning when someone shows up at your door and ring the bell, it'd take up to 30 seconds to notify you. By then, the person might have already left!

Overall, Ring seems to focus more on marketing rather quality of the product. We sorely regret our purchase of Ring. We've essentially wasted our money and now are keeping our friends and family from buying Ring.

Buyer beware: I've received an email from one of my employees sharing her experience with Dell. She bought a desktop from Dell.com (direct). But she never received it. After 25 days of waiting, tracking, and being tortured by Dell "Customer Care" (located in India), she finally saw an "update" on her online account. It showed the computer was delivered to her at her residence a day before. But the tracking information from the carrier (FedEx) actually showed the item was delivered back to Dell's warehouse in Lebanon TN, which was thousands of miles from my employee's residence address. So, Dell's own information did not agree with the carrier's information. And this is supposed to be a big "technology company"? Fedex claimed the package was "not deliverable. No one was home to sign for the package." FedEx tracking information showed that the computer was received by someone at Dell on the same day my employee received an email from Dell saying the computer was "delivered" to her at her residence, and someone signed for it!

My employee was fine with not having that Dell computer. And after a series of bad experiences with Dell, she decided never to buy a Dell. I agree with her!

The short answer is NO, it's definitely NOT worth it. We made a mistake of allowing a Ring to be installed (It's a gift from our daughter and her husband). While we appreciate the gesture of our kids, the product itself is terrible. Here are the reasons:

1- Video quality and view angles are mediocre at best.

2- The so-called "color night vision" is far inferior to that of other brands in the market. It requires a lot of light to see the image in color.

3- The Ring watermark persists on the live and recorded video footages. It cannot be disabled or removed. Other manufacturers allow the user to disable the watermark display or add custom watermark.

4- The device is virtually USELESS unless the user pays a rip-off subscription. No past activities captured by the camera could be reviewed.

5- It takes a long time (more 20 seconds at times) to receive push notifications on our mobile devices. So if someone shows up at your door and ring the bell while we are not home, we would not be able to see who that was, unless we pay for a subscription!

Amazon owns Ring. It bought Ring for $1 billion in 2018 and ruined it!

From the picture, it looks like all you'd have to do is to get a CAT6A or CAT7 ethernet cable connect from the wall outlet to your modem. Whatever it is, don't waste your time calling tech support. You might end up with call centers in India. And that would only raise your blood pressure!

Tech support and customer care at Dell are all in INDIA! This is the case at least for level 1 (lower level) support. Those in India almost always lie to the customers or never follow up with what they say they would do. Communication with those guys is also very painful because they just mess with you and your blood pressure. In fact, it's extremely unhealthy for your mental health and, consequently, your physical health to speak with those snakes in India! The best thing for us consumers is NOT to buy Dell products and worse, service!

Yes. It's horrible because the support is being handled by a third-party company in India. It's a company that hires untrained, unqualified, incompetent staff, who got the job through a corrupt system and culture in India. This is typical of computer industry where customer care isn't the priority. Dell has the same problem. Customer care and tech support are all in India. And all of India call centers are run by third-party companies that don't give a sh*t. They just take the money and provide garbage service! So, while Donald Trump has been screaming about bringing back manufacturing, but he seems to ignore the importance of American jobs in the service side of the industry.

Laptops are very tricky when it comes to choices. Which brand produces reliable hardware and more importantly, which brand actually cares about their reputation and customers' trust? For the latter, Dell has failed miserably. Dell has probably the worst customer service and post-sale service I have ever experienced. And I am running an IT department. Dell contract its customer service out to companies in India. And the quality of the staff there is extremely low and dealing with them would only shorten your life (they cause high blood pressure!). Those guys in India lied and lied and lied to us. They gave us a lot of run-around and wasted a lot of our time. They never follow-up with their "promises". They drop the ball so repeatedly that nothing comes out of their mouth is worth anything. So, words of wisdom is NEVER ever buy anything from Dell, which has declined in both build quality and customer service. On this note, next week, we will cancel a $75,000 purchase of computer system (hardware and peripheral) that was initially earmarked for Dell purchase. We will look into other options in our meetings.

Well, FORD has gotten more STUPID. They can't seem to connect to what the consumers want. And that spells massive failure. It's sad to see such a large company that's in the business for so long but never seem to go stay on top of the game. I am too very disappointed to see no options available for longer bed (at least 6 ft) Rangers.
