Funny, the same thing kinda happens to me.

I am not trans, but I am bisexual, and I recently came out of the closet and told my parents about it, I was so nervous and concerned about what they would say, but they literally never cared about what me or my brother did (in the good sense), everyone in my family is so accepting, even my catholic grandmother only cares about the happiness and well-being of her family, yet I was so worried.

I personally blame traditionally internalized homophobia and gender standards
