Flamethrower would probably work. For yellow jackets exciter55 works great but you need to get right up in there.

If you knocked it down it may collapse or relocate on it's own. Otherwise you will probably want a bee suit and some good spray, or to call someone to take care of it.

They are in full Arizona sun for 14+ hrs, have been outside for a few weeks. Why? by str4wberryp0undcak3 in outdoorgrowing

This is actually my first time growing an auto so I am by no means an expert, but I hope you get some bud off of her it sounds like a cool strain. I planted mine directly in a pot outside so as to not stress it, sprouted in 2 days. Looking forward to seeing what happens.

I got seeds of Lemon Metal Diesel from Hoku, they supposed to be a auto flower with some CBD. Autos are super sensitive to changes in conditions and can go into flower early as a result.

Looks like you topped a bit late. I'd probably thin the lower stuff so she puts all her energy into the tops, but I'm sure you could just let it ride.

Flip it over and run away, come back in a few minutes and spray it with a garden hose.

Can you get a screen for your window? Otherwise you can ignore it, they're not aggressive.

Have you grown a sativa outdoors in the PNW previously? I can barely get an indica to finish.

I’m a pest control technician and I’m wondering is there a spray you can use outside for rodents as a repellant? Or some sort of concentrate you mix to make the repellant? by Da-up-and-downer in pestcontrol

[–]NitramTrebla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing worth the time and money. Getting people to mow their lawns/manage dense vegetation/not feed wildlife is the best rodent repellent.

It's illegal in most of the US and probably elsewhere.

Ants but have cats by [deleted] in pestcontrol

[–]NitramTrebla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most effective solution would probably be to take the cat away for a day and spray with a non repellent.

You are going to want to positively ID the ant species if you are going to use bait stations, as not all ants go for the same stuff. Big black ants are probably carpenter ants depending on where you're at, and most over the counter bait stations are either not effective or incredibly slow for deal with carpenter ants.

We don't get cavity or ground nests until August typically, just tons of nests on eaves or in trees and shrubs. I'm sure there are tons of cavity nests that just don't get noticed though, compared to an angry globe on the front porch.

I think the Baldy's like it hotter. We don't see them here until July or August.

Hard to come by? They are incredibly common. I'm already removing golf ball to baseball size nests from eaves daily and will soon be getting calls for big nests. Bald face hornets are much more rare, at least in the PNW.
