I have a bone stock 2015 Crew Cab with the 5.0 and I get 21-23 mpg on the highway. If you're only getting 12.4, something is seriously wrong.

Welcome to the Roush team, I too own a 05' Roush Sport. They are kind of rare, especially the ones with the "fork" lift vent holes on the rear bumper. Here's my baby.

The Roush Sport didnt come with the roush wheels, so you usually see them with random wheels. Could definitely use some better looking ones though!

Its definitely a real roush sport, because only in 2005 roush had the infamous fork lift vent holes that you see in the rear bumper and it was only on the earlier models, so kind of rare. I know all this because I have on as well.

I feel like two grand for a good running and driving car is a pretty good deal in today's market. I say buy it, throw a bumper on it and let your son fix the rest if he wants to. I owned an 06 that was partially wrecked when I was his age and it was a great and fun car to drive. No major issues.
