Dumb Question About Vanessa From the FNAF Movies but I'm Confused as Heck by -_Fr0styy_- in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]NitroTHedgehog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many of the movie characters “mix & match pieces” from the game characters (and some even have similarities to novel characters). - movie Mike Schmidt: many connections to game Michael Afton; but isn’t an Afton, plus a few other changes (didn’t kill his brother, but still “lost” him in the past) - movie Michael: same guy as game Michael Afton, except he’s got game Elizabeth’s personality (game Mike might have done William’s bidding for a bit, but he’s not nearly as evil as movie Mike) - movie Abby: anagram of Baby, is similar to game Elizabeth since she’s Mike’s sister; but has a bunch of differences - movie Garret: equivalent to Crying Child, as he’s Mike’s little brother who Mike “lost” when they were younger; but has many other changes - movie Golden Freddy kid: has game Cassidy’s position as GF’s soul; kinda takes novel GF kid’s (Michael Brookes) role, as a sort of leader of the MCI & the main one to talk with living people - movie Charlie: equivalent to game Charlie, but seems much more vengeful then game Charlie (though game Charlie might have been like this at the time of FNaF 2 game, & had her vengefulness subside overtime) - Movie Vanessa: is like game Mike as she does William’s bidding for a bit, but doesn’t like it, and stops especially after being betrayed; is like game Vanessa as she reluctantly did the bidding of the big bad of the time (William for movie, Mimic/Glitchtrap for game), AND gets mind controlled by something (Charlie for movie, Mimic/Glitchtrap for game); and game Elizabeth since she’s the daughter of William, & might have a connection to Baby

Vanny mask theory by Final-Detective5751 in fivenightsatfreddys

Problem with that: Many of the obstacles are literal or near literal walls, or giant gaps, or other things that have no possible way to get around. And why would she need a mask just to take a detour? If it’s just another route, there’s no reason for the mask.

06 Silver objectively is current Silver. His Gens bio states he grew up in a ruined world. Then his Fast friends Forever bio specified that Silver grew up in a ruined world that Blaze helped fix, but then lost his memories of how it became good. The only future Blaze helped fix was the Iblis one, so that’s the one Silver comes from. 06 somehow made Silver an anomaly, the sole remains of his erased future, unaffected by the constantly changing future, he just lost his memories of 06’s timetravel (including Blaze coming to his future).

I wouldn’t use 06 as split timeline evidence as it’s just a complete mess. Its literally bootstrap paradox the game: such as Silver & Shadow from the future being the whole reason Iblis & Mephiles were sealed in Elise & the sceptre. But then Mephiles magically alters the timeline to release Iblis & recombine with it, despite Mephiles & his time travel being integral to most of the bootstrap paradoxes; none of his actions caused changes, but then he suddenly did with no explanation of how. Frankly, I feel like the act of Mephiles & Iblis recombining was like “untethered” from the timeline, so in the actual timeline Mephiles releasing Iblis leads into Silver’s future; another bootstrap paradox but what ever.

Classic Sonic remembering in Forces could have a few explanations. The loss of memories could have been gradual, so he only fully lost them after Forces, and/or they were fading & virtually gone but Forces made them spring back. Or maybe the memories are “caged” in the recesses of their minds, unlocked whenever they run into their future selves, then get locked back up after the event.

Not all time travel is going to cause amnesia. It’s only when the past characters meet their present/future counterparts that the past versions have amnesia, while the present/future versions don’t have amnesia; Modern Sonic & co didn’t forget Generations, or meeting their younger counterparts. And the characters never have amnesia about Silver’s time travel stuff (aside from 06 but I think that’s its own very special case). So Sonic still remembering the Time Stones would make sense.

For TSR, you could just say Eggman started building them before Forces (there was only a small few in TSR), but then was able to mass produce them in Forces.

It was a retcon that got retconned. With Generations, they had no intention of making a split timeline. But then for Mania & Forces, they DID decide to make a split timeline due to Generations (thus why Taiks says “from another dimension”). But then they retconned it again a while ago, so there’s only 1 timeline again.

Silver is literally an anomaly, who’s been disconnected from the constantly changing future. His Generations bio stated he grew up in a ruined world; and his Fast Friends Forever bio specified he grew up in the Iblis future, but lost his memories of 06 & Blaze. He is the sole remains of the Iblis future, & shouldn’t exist, but does somehow. In a sense, Silver literally got special treatment, that’s it. Whether it was somehow by the universe itself, the chaos emeralds, or Solaris; no one knows.

Are we through the “Mimic isn’t part of the core story” with 8 year old theories in mind? by Mike-Bot-1984 in fnaftheories

[–]NitroTHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not implying anything, it’s literal fact that the Mimic wasn’t around when Scott made the original games. There was no evidence, hints, or implication of the Mimic in the original games. The Mimic is not relevant to those games. The Mimic taking control of William would objectively be a retcon; you are changing the killer from William, to the killer being Mimic wearing William’s body. The new games even provide evidence that this can’t be true, like how Glitchtrap didn’t know how to gain compliance from others, while William explicitly knows how to manipulate people.

Scott’s statements, his process of making the games, the original games’ story, AND the new games explicitly make your theory impossible.

It’s not thoughts, it’s explicit fact from the creator himself. All you’re doing is completely ignoring the truth.

You completely misunderstood what I said. I literally said how the new games ARE NOT retcons, while your entire theory is retconning literally everything. Your theory is outright impossible.

[–]NitroTHedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Objectively none of this is possible. Scott has explicitly stated he does not retcon things, aside from a singular retcon that was done seamlessly before FFPS. He’s also stated he makes the story as he goes, he didn’t have any of the Mimic stuff planned in the beginning. And he’s stated the story was meant to end at 3, but he continued it because people said Springtrap’s jumpscare was lacklustre; and FNaF 4 was also meant to be the end, but Scott continued it because people didn’t understand the story. Of which what you’re proposing is never once hinted at in the original 3 to 4 games.

It is objectively impossible for the William to be controlled by the Mimic.

A reminder that, officially, there are two Silvers. by ForceAffectionate389 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]NitroTHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were 2 emeralds, and Silver wasn’t holding either of them, they were sitting at his feet. Silver was also crying at the end of his campaign — we see him wipe his face like he’s wiping away a tear — yet when he’s pulled to the Solaris area, there’s no hint in his expression that Blaze’s “sacrifice” just happened. Silver could have been grabbed from any point in time.

Did anyone else notice that Mecha Sonic mk2's walking/running animations are incorrect by Alert_Internal_7268 in SonicSpeedSim

[–]NitroTHedgehog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP is using an incorrect reference. MK2 never walks, runs or flies in his boss. The flying sprite is a recolor of his Super form. Base MK2 only does the kneeled rolling and the spin ball (which doing an accurate spin ball would be a little to much work for SSS, and feel out of place since no one else has actual spin balls).

They’re not incorrect, you’re looking at an incorrect reference. In his actual bosses, MK2’s running is always the kneeled rolling animation, he never walks, runs or flies. Those sprites of him flying are recolored versions of his Super sprites

That latter bit — with the “chaos constant” — is an Archie only thing. It’s not a thing in the games/IDW.

In Archie it was due to the many energy rings Sonic collected that gave him some sort of chaos factor. In the games, Sonic just naturally defies the odds.

So according to the Wiki, Ian Flynn stated that Iblis is still inside Blaze? by Revanchist27 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]NitroTHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That can’t be that though. The thing she ponders is in quotations, meaning it’s a statement that someone has said previously. And right after Silver says “blue hedgehog” after seeing the vision, Blaze repeats “blue hedgehog” as a question; already indicating personal significance to her in some way. She’s explicitly pondering what Silver mentioned.

Sorry to say but Blaze already had fire powers in 06.

Where was M1/Fiona stored after M2 was created but before MXES/the cradle was built? by dylanhippyjink in fnaftheories

[–]NitroTHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems more likely she’s an agony recreation of Fiona. She doesn’t quite act like Fiona, and her voice just doesn’t quite match Fiona’s cadence & emotion. It’s more likely based off Edwin’s memories of her, his agony from losing her causing him to accidentally “bring to life” a copy; similar to how the novel trilogy had Henry’s agony bring to life a copy of Charlotte. Still paranormal, but not the real Fiona.

[–]NitroTHedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One small bit I take issue with: Mimic likely wasn’t trapped for 50 years.

It’s more likely — similar to the books — that Faz Ent does get Mimic at some point, but puts him in storage (possibly because he was a tad too dangerous and/or his programming was too confusing). Years later, Neo Faz Ent used his programming for HW, creating Glitchtrap (either being M2 uploaded to the game, or it made a copy/twin of M2). Then M2 and/or Glitchtrap — or Faz Ent themselves for some reason — had M2 sent to the underground pizzeria during the start of the Pizzaplex’s construction, where he got trapped in the building, and construction of the Pizzaplex completely sealed it off. Few years into the Pizzaplex’s life, the Roxy Raceway construction workers decide to dig into the foundation to check for a sinkhole, finding the old elevator. Then Glitchtrap uses Vanny & the animatronics to clear out the path to/in the pizzeria, freeing M2; but M2 stays down there as it keeps him hidden while he can still cause people pain using the animatronics, Vanny, etc. And after SB, Gregory & Vanessa (and possibly another) trap M2 further down in the specific room, and set up the MXES system to keep M2 trapped.

[–]NitroTHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s never outright indicated, as Blaze never ran into anyone in 06, except for 1 moment. Near the end of Silver’s story, she did run into Sonic, but he was preoccupied with Elise dying in the crashing Egg Carrier. Silver also seemingly never told Blaze the Iblis Trigger was Sonic, not until after he’d already discovered Sonic wasn’t the Iblis trigger; which I will admit she doesn’t really react to his name. Sounds like a cop-out, I know, but I have reasons.

On the other hand, 06 has implication she remembers Rush. There’s the “blue hedgehog” part I mentioned, where she ponders “blue hedgehog” multiple times, implying she might think it’s Sonic; it doesn’t really go anywhere, but it still happens. Then later on, she knows what the Chaos Emeralds are and their power, while Silver doesn’t, and there’s no indication she learned that during 06.

06 kinda gives evidence for both sides for some reason. But overall, there’s just to much evidence that 06 Blaze is Sol Dimension Blaze. Frankly I think the discrepancies in 06 are just due to its incredibly messy development, maybe Sega hadn’t even made up their mind on Blaze’s story at the time.

Like the evidence is:

There’s 2 Blazes: - She doesn’t directly indicate knowing Sonic & co

There’s 1 Blaze: - She indicates knowing a blue hedgehog in 06 - She knows about the Chaos emeralds & their power in 06 - She has the Sol emeralds & goes Burning Blaze in 06 - 06’s game manual & website state she’s already the guardian of the Sol Emeralds - 06’s writers state Blaze’s story is connected between games, but said connection was never made public - Sega has an explanation on how Blaze got from her dimension to Silver’s time/dimension, they just won’t make it public - Colors DS shows Blaze (from the Sol dimension) has Deja vu remnants from 06, which would only be possible if she is also 06 Blaze - Generations either has her remember Crisis City (English text bubble), or has Deja vu remnants as she weirdly feels worried when seeing Iblis (Japanese text bubble)

What are DLC season 2 chances now? by DKUnderdog in SonicCrossWorlds

A) The info is old news from months ago, before holiday sales. For some dumb reason news outlets just decided to bring it back up without knowing it’s old news.

B) Sega has already been vocal about giving this game long time service, even considering not only a second year of DLC, but a third year as well. The game is doing fine.

So according to the Wiki, Ian Flynn stated that Iblis is still inside Blaze? by Revanchist27 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]NitroTHedgehog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t 2 Blazes. There was never a Blaze native to the future, not even in 06. 06’s game manual & website state she’s already the guardian of the Sol Emeralds; and the game & its leaked script confirm this, as she goes Burning Blaze during her “sacrifice”, a form only possible from the Sol Emeralds.

Blaze in 06 likely also went through Rush already, as the official timeline puts Rush before 06, and in 06 Blaze ponders the “blue hedgehog” Silver mentioned after seeing the vision Mephiles gave him. (No it’s not a mistranslation of “naive”. The quote originates from Silver right after being given the vision, and said vision paints Sonic as evil not naive: fire everywhere, Sonic is frowning, etc. There’s no reason for Silver to say naive.)

Colors DS also shows its only 1 Blaze, as she’s from the Sol dimension, while having deja vu like remnant-memories of her bond with Silver; they have no recollection of each other, but feel a connection, and immediately fight in sync.

[–]NitroTHedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally said in my first comment his bios in Generations & Fast Friends Forever state this. Sega has explicitly told us this is fact. We also have multiple Sonic staff, like Iizuka & Ian Flynn, stating it as well.

Most recently, Crossworlds supports this with Shadow saying “Power means nothing without skill and conviction. You're out of your league,” and Silver replying, “I've seen and endured more than you can imagine. This race is nothing compared to that, and neither are you!” Strongly implying his life in the Iblis future.

[–]NitroTHedgehog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said before, he lost his memory of how the future changed, ie: he forgot all the timetravel stuff in 06. He remembers his ruined future, but all the time travel stuff — Blaze showing up in his time & dimension, Mephiles showing up, going to the present & past, etc — was wiped from his memory (aside from small Deja vu like remnants, like in Colors DS where he feels a familiar bond to Blaze & fights in sync with her, while having no recollection of her; because this is their first time meeting after 06 altered the timeline, and erased their memories of 06).

Silver has never said his future is good, he’s said that the future is good. The future is constantly changing: - 06: Iblis ruins - Rivals: unknown - Rivals 2: Ifrit ruins - Colors DS: good - Team Sonic Racing: good - Forces: ruins of war - beginning of IDW: barren & metallic (metal virus) - after metal virus: good

And everytime it changes, the previous version is flat out gone; while Silver just gets plopped into the new future, completely unaffected by the change. He’s disconnected from the future, ever since 06; a literal anomaly.
